Well this is so different, paris was a 25 year old trying to marry a 14 year old and the got his ass handed to him by another 14 year old and rosaline wanted to he a nun. There are all sorts of stories of young girls being seduced by older men outside of marriage. Hence the term a "ruined" woman or "used" goods. In all honesty it is you that needs to do your research. It is common to take stories by Shakespeare or older authors like Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' and make a reinterpretation for it. Some examples are the Lion King, which is a take on Hamlet. Or Dangerous Liaisons a late 1700's novel that the late 1990's movie Cruel Intentions is based of from. The ages and settings are usually changed but the names and general plot are the same. It was available on Canvas for a while and I enjoyed what I seen. I admit it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the intense bashing seems unnecessary and doesn't contribute much to the thread. Especially when in the OG story Juliet does the same thing, she essentially is seduced by a man 3 years older than her (She is 13) and chooses a love affair with him over the man her family has chosen, an affair that leads to the death of the most beloved family member of each warring side. In real life she would have been married off to a different old man and locked in a tower. They would have never allowed her and Romeo to Marry due to the blood feud.
Romeo was 19 years old, he was closer in age but he was the type to fall in love easily. So Romeo was adult that wanted to marry a child. The only difference is the age between the two adult men. This version makes him seem like a total fuck boy. As for juliet, something tells me she might be the fake white lotus type
I never liked Romeo even in the original. He spent the first part of the book saying how he was devastated that Rosaline was gonna be a nun and how he would rather die,than next minute he sees Juliet and forgets all about Rosaline.
Okay so my basic synopsis/ future predictions of the plot (NOT SPOILERS BTW) -Paris and Rosaline were both betrayed by the people they were engaged too (Juliet and Romeo) -Since Rosaline won't get support from her family she will probably ask to get a contract marriage from Paris so that she can build a stable future for her son. - As former enemies turned lovers they will both start to appreciate the different aspects of each other that their former partners could never figure out. - Then the drama starts and Romeo suddenly wants Rosaline back because she looks happy without him and that hurts his ego - Romeo is delusional into thinking that Rosaline still loves him, and he tries hard to win her affection back but to no avail and then he uses his biological son as blackmail to get her back. -Romeo eventually gets the karma he deserves and dies at the hands of Paris (ironically because of the OG story) -As for the extra stuff, Juliet and Escalus will probably be side love rivals but not as important Although, Juliet is probably a white lotus bitch.
Romeo's age was never confirmed in Shakespeare's play. It is said he could be anywhere from a teenager to an early adult. But most believe him to be same age as juliet considering his irrational behavior and temperament. Paris and juliet's ages were confirmed to be 27 and 13 respectively.

I think it's safe to say Romeo is not the male lead considering Paris is on the cover with Rosaline. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about Romeo, no mind control, no misunderstanding, and no doing it to protect her. He's just a scummy playboy. But he will be a "love rival" or "2nd ML" as you would call it even though it's obvious she'll never forgive him. Also let's not forget this is the type of story that twists the narrative of the original by making the previous hero (Romeo) as the villain, and turning the original villain (Paris) into the new Male lead. And if you think about it, Romeo was kind of an asshole in the original story because he stole Paris's fiancee, and when Paris died to get her back everyone labeled him a villain. Sounds like your typical misunderstood bad guy. He needs a win in this story.
Oh no no. I only knew of its existence the day it got published on Webtoon. This is all just speculation based on original story elements I've seen from other series. I know like 4-5 otome isekai that are very similar to this, and they all follow the same formula/ending. Perhaps this one will be different but I doubt it. Also don't rely on Webtoon Canvas for spoilers. There's this series called [BLANK] that was on Webtoon canvas but got officially picked up and the male lead changed entirely.
