The characters personality and gender a balanced as in each person has their own goal, motive and character. There are multiple partners but the MC sticks to only 2 and the rest either become his friends or disciples which I'm ok with.
Are there long periods of separation between him and his partners? As in, is it typical xianxia/xuanhuan where MC sees his partner once every 300 chapters for 1 chapter, they nod their heads to themselves and leave without saying a word or can i expect some reasonable interactions?
