Qidian international owns GT. Pretty much means I put GT in the block list w/ qidian


Edit: qidian standard of paying translators for quantity is now on Gravity Tales. I personally don't want to lose my good memories of that site which is the reason I have it blocked.

I think it's a workaround for Qidian to post story updates. I mean, I think the update system broke when they tried putting chapter previews behind ads. While the preview chapters should not be listed, even the non-preview new chapters aren't being announced. Or that's what I found this morning when the series' that I was following didn't have an update on NU, but obviously had new chapters when I checked QI.

So until they can devise a solution, then the next best way to announce new chapter updates is to post the non-preview chapters on another site.

Edit: ...maybe. I leave for a few hours and discover that a few of my novels are showing new chapters on NU again. Although they may have been manually added considering how many QI chapters are normally published daily.

 

Where is your proof GT is owned by QI? Don't speculate things without proof.

yes but unless that full story is revealed I'd avoid making baseless claims. And someone even posted elsewhere that GGP has confirmed QI possess no stock in GT.

 

And the chapter on GT is 404.

 

Since the inception of the site, the page view has grown pretty well. Within the past month (june17-july17), it nearly became a plateau/largely stagnated. I'm not denying that MMO and Library is one of their high valued assets. That's why it's a better choice to move their asset to GT that has higher readership and has way better rep then QI. Plus, it's a way to bypass the NU filter on QI. They want their popular novels to retain readership and to grow more (through GT readers). QI can always move those assets back to main site after the heat dies down and they can resume growing their site. QI can do this even though GT is hosting them, QI has both the rights to original and the translation. The translators (who sold their IP rights to QI), of those series remain the same. Pretty much, it's just a move for QI to restructure and recoup from the recent setbacks.

I also think it is so. Maybe the plan to use GT to keep readership so that they can sell ebooks and audiobooks.
It is also interesting how the chapter is now taken off of GT.

Release speed affect alot on NU ranking bruh , they count click activity a lot in the equation.
Look at how many chapter they release every week for LOHP and MMO:LOTG.

 

I've tried clicking in GTs link to read LOHP but it won't let me. "You shall not pass". I guess they are still fixing some things over there. I'd be happy if GT will get LOHP and some of the other famous novels back. Regarding QI owning GT, well those are just speculations for now so i'm still trying to wait and see what will happen in the future. Hope this will work out for the best for GT. On a side note, they should patch up things with WW too.

 

Honestly, I have no clue. If anything, QI has shown themselves to be largely unpredictable. I know some will argue that no it's predictable because they are greedy fks. But ask yourself, did you ever see the QI vs. WW coming or the whole copy and paste debacle coming?

When can be said for sure is that QI well eventually reclaim those novels when they recoup and grown stronger. GT will have no grounds to contest that decision because GT doesn't own any of the IP (original & translations). Though this posting and removing those novels in GT interests me. It's like someone fked up by accident and posted them.
