it is real. But you can't expect them to have good motion. At most it is just for posing. If I remembered correctly, it doesn't go beyond the base too, iirc? I wonder where the subtitle is. Usually gundaminfo is pretty punctual with their subtitles. Edit: their youtube channel https://m.youtube.com/user/GundamInfo for all official gundam content, in english. You can see the project videos too there, in case you don't know.
it is real, though of course it can't shoot laser and wave a beam saber. it has been worked on for a while and is at Yokohama. there is also one other real scale before this in Tokyo, although only the upper part of the body can move. From the video, it is said that the builder is the same as the one before.
I'll find it ironic in the future if this event somehow in the smallest chance becomes the starting point into a real life era of mechanized soldiers...... after we find a new source of energy and resources. ~meanwhile in another universe~ 00: I AM GUNDAM!
It IS real... sort of. Obviously, it was not powered by an actual nuclear engine and able to move like human. It was tethered to the platform on its waist while floating a bit above the ground, like what you usually seen on gunplas (like gunpla stand). So sure, it can move, but in limited fashion, strictly on its limbs (unlike its statue predecessors in Odaiba).
Robotics are really taking the next step : )) I'm so excited to discover more about their functionalities and the operating system
blue checkmarks r mad Japan is making gundams instead of *checks notes*..... uh....making a cure for AIDS or some shit....
