Halo the Master Chief Collection is finally coming to pc and with halo reach added in! This means that the collection now includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, the Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4 and Halo: Reach. What do you guys think about it? Will you join me and play when it comes out? Have any experiences or insight on it?
Fair enough, not much hype left for the game but the addition of reach will bring back a lot of old players to re-experience the game in its remastered form. I think the real reason this was released now is to build hype for halo infinite which will be released to pc as well.
Halo MCC is a collection of every halo game except the newest one remastered in 4k. Its as good as the games were so i would say yes very.
i never really got into halo on PC. Then again, i was an original generation fan on the xbox. i did have great times when the original halo's MP was a big thing for wasting time in my school days. class-wide or multi-class mp matches were pretty fun chaos. I would hope that, in-line with this, they'd release the remastered reach for xbox one players as well. While reach's story broke the previously established canon, the gameplay was pretty fun and the space segments in the sabre were something different.
i never played halo, but im hell interested with the story. i assume that I will get all the main story in master chief collection right?
Yeah, I remember playing halo in class throughout high school. Too bad the kids are now playing Minecraft(fine with this one) and some block shooting game(not fine with this one) instead. Halo Reach is coming to Xbox one players as well. However unlike pc only the multiplayer maps and forge will be free, the campaign itself will be a premium add-on like ODST.
You will get every single halo game by Bungie. So basically all of the main games yes. then there's novels, animations and movies that go into lore as well but thats extra. theres also a strategy game series called halo wars that has some lore in it and then the sequel games by 343 which most fans hate with a passion and refuse to accept as canon.
i quite liked 4's story but then i know how it ties into everything because i've read the Kilo-Five trilogy. 5's story.... that's where it starts to get strange. That is a pain about reach's campaign mode being having to be bought. i'd have rather they did it the other way round. made campaign and forge included while firefight and MP were purchasable.
I had a few dislike for the first, i also was scared when I didn't get to have any soldiers/friendlies helping me, fighting alone i felt i was in some kind of survival fps horror game. The big minus is surely that there was a health bar in it not rechargeable without a medkit with a not huge shield that is rechargeable. It's only later in the 2 that they thought it was better to remove the health bar and boost the shield.
There was already late when first part was published on PC. Microsoft even managed to put it in same timeframe when was released first Call of Duty. October 2003. Game with bad engine and horrendous level building in comparison to first CoD.... and in 4 month comes Far Cry 1 and some time later in 2004 was released Half-Life 2. How there will be good sales with that? There was good chance if Halo 1 was released in 2001 but with first Max Payne as good single and even their engine was losing to Quake 2 or Unreal Engine, there were chances. Even if Halo 1 loses to Half-Life 1 (1998) and Deus Ex (1999) Aliens Versus Predator (1999) in most aspects. And they made same mistake with Halo 2. On PC, when it was released situation was even worse in MP. In 2k began serious shift to multiplayer aspect in 3d action games. How could compare Halo 1 in 2003 with Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament (there was 2003 release) and Quake 3 Arena? But still it will be good to see another SF series (even if nostalgic value for some), and it looks like Microsoft serious want to claw in PC market. They bought new PC studios and highly likely will release next Halo at least in Windows Store where it will be available for Windows 10.
