Discussion Has anyone else noticed these novel synposes

Hate stuff like that. Seeing that usually means i don't read the novel.

 

seen a bunch that're all flowery and poetic, but they say so little about the actual story you could probably throw 'em onto any other novel and it'd still "work". i assume that it's to avoid drawing attention to how obvious they were in stealing the plot from some other novel.

 

I never really read any synopsis... I just skim through them..
The tag gives you a lot more information than the synopsis ever will.. with lots of spoilers tho..

I agree. I hate it when they do that. All I want to know is what it’s about. That’s when I try to read the reviews and believe me that’s sometimes even worse when you compared them.

I hate that... I go look for a novel Synopsis than i found these poem bullshit... Why not do it in the right way damn?!

Knowing that it a CN it gotta be a dick-measuring contest in some way or form for whoever it wrote it.

 

The authors likely used a thesaurus to make the synopsis. They don't bother for the story itself

I remember a similar thread to this... also on the title, the synopsis is written wrongly...

Now on to the topic:

Making an actual synopsis isn't that hard, but most believe that flowery words draw people in better than an actual description.
And it's not just make believe, as they do draw readers easier in some cases. The problem though is as clear as day... they have overdone it.

Too much is just no, and too little is bland.
This is the case of too much.
(PS, for everything there are and exceptions, I don't rule out anything)
