Hi! I'm really interested in picking up this novel and been reading the spoilers ever since, but never the translated chapters because it barely made progress (10/244 ). Is is worth it? I will probably need to suffer and mtl them by myself ;w;

This is for the original Chinese version. Other languages would need to be licensed by a company first. Probably unlikely in English. Some publishers a while back tried to sell translated Japanese BL novels and found it to be not profitable. Well, maybe they were ahead of the time...

June Manga has a mix of print and digital only novels in their catalog (https://junemanga.com/collections/all?constraint=novel). A lot of the print versions are out of stock. I've only purchased the digital version of the S series by Saki Aida. The translations are OK... could be better in some spots, but it's a genuine licensed translation. If MXTX's series become more popular globally, maybe a English publisher or Amazon Crossing will get interested.
Lol I paid for the chapters but I gave up half way on the mtl. I mean I still love this novel, but I just suck at mtl.... Lol....
Basically spoils the identity of the ML as the kid that MC saved during the celebration. But, was it ever explained how the ML became blind in one eye? I remember there are fanarts that state he inflicted it himself, is it true?
Yeap he did it himself but the explanation wasn't clear with mtl (something about saving some random people from something after he almost died by the revenge of the ghosts,)
it was when he went to tonglu to try and become a ghost king! some unfortunate humans got dragged into the mess and in order to save them he had to have a powerful weapon bc his soul was nearly torn into pieces from saving XL earlier. so he took out his eye and turned it into his sword, eming and saved the group of humans it was an action so selfless that the heavens deemed him virtuous enough to ascend into godhood, but as soon as he reached the heavens, HC laughed in their faces and jumped right back down!
I love this part. Does his decision to laugh in their faces and jumped back down got anything to do with how they treated XL's ascensions and declensions?

the author never explicitly states why HC looks down on the heavens but i think his hatred of the heavens stemmed from about when XL and co. (plus parents) escaped their country and HC was still a ghost flame. at this point XL lost his divinity and had to cultivate so he can ascend again. there was some territory squabble (probably about cultivation space, i’m not too sure it got really angsty so i wasn’t paying that much attention) with the other gods that XL got blamed for (even tho he wasn’t at fault!) bc of this squabble some really bad rumours spread about him throughout the heavens and the other gods often treated him poorly. it went really downhill from that point (XL gets drunk, his parents die, suicide attempt, the “hundreds of swords stabbing”, etc) and all HC could do was watch ya it got really sad and i made myself sad rmbing all of that the bright side (kinda?) is that i think those gods HC beat up (or killed? i’m not too sure) in one of the 3 rumours about him were the ones who caused XL to be looked down on by the other gods
