Haha, I have the opposite problem where I read too slow. But that's always been a chronic issue for me.

WELL for BL, it seems like you'd enjoy a lot of the fluffier stuff out there. The Daily Life combines comedy and romance pretty well: MC has to pretend to be ML's boyfriend, someone who he's had a crush on since childhood so he's always been stalking his social media; it's quite a humorous situation. You should also check out some of the Shounen Ai stuff out there. It's not really my cup of tea but it's more of the light, fluffy parts of BL. For example, Beloved Marriage in High Society. That one's pretty good.

System novels? Well, like I said earlier in the thread, Praise the Orc is my all-time favorite; it's a good meta-genre - I STILL enjoy re-reading it. KOTB and MLN stay truer to the normal genre.

If you want an apocalypse world AND BL (the best combo ever made): The Earth is Online and I'm Not Shouldering are both MUST-READs. If you've read those, check out Back to the Apocalypse - I love MC and ML's interactions in this one. There's also the Reborn Otaku, but that's mainly just a slice of life in an apocalypse world.

I'd shamelessly recommend GL, but he said he prefers male protagonists.

You could try "Female General and Eldest Princess", a pretty dark historical CN novel about kingdom politics and war. It has female protagonists and romance.
There's also "Mistress, I Was Wrong", which is a cultivation novel comedy.

If any of you are interested in action novels, then I'd recommend Summoned Slaughterer, Everyone Else is a Returnee, Martial World, and some other stuff made by Toika.

Summoned Slaughterer is quite action-packed, as in there is no traditional tropes that frequent JP novels. I read it to volume 6 I think, and while there wasn't much Romance, there was quite a number of other genres. You know how whenever a hero is summoned, the king has this grand speech about saving them.

Well, he decapitated the king.

A KR novel called A Monster Who Levels Up is quite the entertaining story. Ignore the initial translations as it gets better over time. I don't wanna go through explaining it again but you can read here if you want the long story. Now then, the novel is about a human who gains the ability to turn into a monster through his 'Trait'. 'Traits' are special powers given to people who have awakened, giving them the strength that wasn't there before.

This is a modern world setting based around a few decades in the future and the protagonist, a fucking nobody, suddenly has the power to level up but as a monster. However these monsters aren't him, well they are, but they're more like separate bodies that he goes into but forgets that he's in a monster. Their characteristics start affecting his mind, leading to new changes in his psyche. However against all odds, he suffered time and time again to achieve the one thing he's been trying to prove; he's human.

Umm, you should probably spoilerify all that even though most peeps here have probably read CD.

I'd recommend Praise the Orc if you haven't read it. I think everybody should read it as it's got some pretty good themes and character development. I think you'd like the MC.

tbh I found out about these types of novels thanks to The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation's manhua which was like, a month ago lol
there are so many interesting novels i want to read rn ;; what i love about these is that the bl ones have a really good story (on my opinion i guess) lol wait i didn't even read that many but i love that it has much more than just romance, the magic and fights and shounen-like things are amazing too and i don't even know what i'm writing anymore haha
