I cant pay translators with gratitude when people say it's their right to put on ad blockers. But hey, it's all my fault. I chose to drop novels that are so "popular" the LCD didn't have a post for 6 months. People said they will hurt me by reading on aggregator websites, well I drop such novels. I am not the one who gets hurt
While community unity is nice, ad revenue pays da bills. We’ve long gone past the glory days of fan translation. Everything costs. Hate it, love it, economics rules the world.
Nah I'm more against readership entitlement. They should expected pushback if they did something bad. Not to say you should worship translators which mostly aims to earn something off some authors works. Please send back something to authors at least.
Sadly, the webnovel model doesn't work that way. Munpia doesn't pay authors until they sell chapters. Same with Qidian. Also, Syosetu doesn't pay either way
