I'm terrified of horror movies but After reluctantly reading “My House of Horrors” and now being up to date with the latest chapter, I can safely assume that I'm sort of immune to horrors... hopefully. Can someone recommend me good horror novels? Maybe mystery too? I don't mind either female or male MC. Yaoi is good too.
You should try Lord of Mysteries. Everyone reading house of horrors almost always recommend that. I haven't read both of them myself though.

aside from the ones already listed you could try Apartment From Hell, but you'll have to MTL most of it. maybe Ghost Blows Out the Lights (dunno if it's still being translated). BL tends to mix horror with comedy but these are heavier on the scary side than the comedy, at least inside the instances/ doors/ arcs. Kaleidoscope of Death, Escape the Infinite Chamber, Welcome to the Nightmare Game, To Be a Heartthrob in a Horror Movie, Meeting a Demonic Cultivator, Even God Cries (first half at any rate). if you really want scary stories you should look into reading some of the ones that have been published by an actual publisher. some of those are creepy af.
