Discussion How did you get into reading translated novels.

I was curious about the novel my sister was reading. I mostly read epubs before so i sort of laughed at her for using the browser. I asked what the novel was about coz she keeps on smiling as she reads. FYI, she introduced me to NU but she doesn't have an account here. The first novel i read was The Demonic King Chases his Wife. I don't think i finished it yet as i discovered better ones.

 

how i got into TL'd novels?
Anime. i think it was because of Highschool DXD season 1. I wanted moar, googled round and ended up finding BT. It snowballed from there.

I cant even remember the first translated novel anymore. I know it was on Baka Tsuki which then lead me to other websites. After a year or two of reading my way through tons of JP novels I stumbled on Wuxiaworld with Coiling Dragon as my first CN novel. After a few...months? maybe a year I stumbled over NU.

I do however remember being on an anime site and getting pointed to the novel of whatever I was watching (1 season promo for the novel, bastards!).

Same here. After watching anime,, searched about them since they are really good.

Then only I got to know that almost all of them are adapted from manga or novels. So started reading them as well.

 

I can’t remember. I think it was me reading ascendence of a bookworm manga but then I found the novel and started reading that.

I mostly found it at a Aggregator site (which I didn’t know at the time(0) then I looked up the novel’s name and began reading on NU.

 

Some mangas have been adapted from LN/WN and usually people commented about it, the difference and comparison blahblah. I got to read translated WN/LN from one of the comments on a manga i couldn't remember, then in that TL site someone mentioned NUF, and here I am.
