Yo~ Okay I’ll say this first~ this is not a shitpost thread cos I’m bored. I’m genuinely asking this question cos I want to know. It’s something I’ve debated with people before. Yeah it’s probably sad but hey this is something from years ago and it’s probably not the worst topic me and friends have chatted about. So yesterday while going to my sisters house I decided to walk the long way and then take a break midway at a fast food place. Got my food, drink and when it comes to the fries/chips you get the question: do you want salt and vinegar with that? I say yes so the guy first gives the vinegar and then the salt. Now that surprised me cos it’s how I like it and probably the first time I’ve seen someone do it that way in a fast food place. Every other place it’s always salt first and then vinegar. My friends always say it’s how it should be. But for me I never understood it. Salt first and the salt all falls to the bottom and there’s hardly any on the fries/chips. Which seems dumb to me. Vinegar first and the salt has something to stick to. That makes sense to me but my friends nah. So how do you think it should be? Salt and then vinegar or vinegar and then salt?
*suddenly remembers disney emperor's new groove at the restaurant scene* Me no like vinegar with fries. Me want fries with salt, hold the vinegar.
with taco powder, or pretty much any powder flavoring ( even tang juice powder once, I will not do that again)
Vinegar on fries dafuq? just salt, or cold Bearnaise sauce for dip p.s. also, I really don't like the big/thick fries. I prefer thin ones.
Thank you for the dumb answers. I’m saying fries but I’m including chips in that. I didn’t mention it cos every time I’ve said chips people think I’m talking about crisps. And I don’t see what’s so shocking about vinegar on fries anyways.
Vinegar? Do you mean fried dumplings or sth? wtf dude. If it's potato fries just sprinkle with salt and shake and use some dipping sause if you want some additional flavors. Salt will stick if the salt isn't shit and if the fries aren't burnt to the crisp. Edit: Quick google showed me that there is indeed a recipe for potato fries with vinegar and salt. But the recipe itself makes it clear that fries are cooked with vinegar instead of using it after the fries were cooked. *scratches head*
Vinegar in my place(dunno about other countries) has very strong smell and you only ever use it when you dilute it with water. Unless you are making pickled foods.
