How Do You Take Care Of Your Nails?

Just curious about it in general I guess? I cut them with scissors because they get too squary if I use a nail clipper. I also don't really paint them or ever go to a beautician to do any form of treatment on them, I just leave them natural because I like them like this... And it's also healthier for them AFAIK.

I also make sure they keep a somewhat round shape (I honestly can't see any appeal in rectangular nails tbh, but they're kinda popular where I live) and try to avoid letting them grow too much, though sometimes I get lazy and before I realize they're way past the point I'm comfortable with... >.>

Ah, and I cut the ends with just a scissor and hope they don't get pointy. I tried using a nail file back when I was younger, but I hate the feeling of it grinding against my nails, so I gave up very very quickly.

The ones in my toes I cut with a nail clipper because they're kinda tough and hard to cut with scissors... Also because I don't care for their appearance much (they're gonna be ugly regardless, especially because mine have some marks from the time I got hit by a car)... I mean, are even my toes seriously supposed to be pretty? I just can't care enough to try taking care of them... >.>

Anyways, what do you all do? I'm curious~

Pretty much the same as you, ignore them tell they need a cut. I usually use clippers tho since it is hard to find scissors in my house that are sharp.

 

I paint them once in a while but my nails are almost always short. I've tried having long nails multiple times but they are just intrusive on many different types of activities imo.

 

I totally get it! Not to mention how they can start bending easily if you try using them for anything!!! >.<

Once my family starts calling me gross, I tear them off and spit them out the way nature intended.

 

Use scissors, nail clipper or small sharp knife.... anything that work

 

I like to keep long nails although it’s really hard to keep them long since my nails are really fragile . They’re so fragile they can bend sometimes . But I have to keep short nails for orchestra or my teacher will tell me to cut them because they’re too long >.<

 

I use nail clipper and file them sometimes when I don't feel lazy.

... I guess long nails get in the way of properly making the chords? Seems bothersome to be forced to keep them short... T.T

Though well, with them being fragile, I guess it would be hard to keep them long either way.

I use nail clipper like normal person.
I usually cut them once a week or when it got too dirty.

 

I like to keep my nails long so I don't cut them that often, but I do file and clean them every day while also putting on some nail products (Nail Grow & Fortify Serum, nail conditioner, etc.) every day. Basically, I try to take the best care of my nails as possible.

Tbh, I don't really know anything about nail products in general, it's something I never did any research on whatsoever~

Makes sense that you'd need to apply proper products to keep them healthy once they grow long... They break so easily otherwise... >.>

 

mhm, but I have some stern nails naturally so I don't need to use a lot of products. I don't even know how much it will cost if you have some fragile nails

Taking care of my hair alone is expensive enough... I guess I'll avoid thinking about nail care for the foreseeable future...
