It's fine. I'm a hypocrite who creates characters in roleplays and then goes on hiatus. :p

I'd like to actually spend more time there and look up new stories, but I found that people are way too generous with their ratings. A lot of the top rated ones are mediocre at best, although I'm not sure if it's just a matter of personal taste. It also doesn't help that a lot of stories aren't edited properly, so there's a lot of typoes and grammatical mistakes, which can be a bit off-putting.

To be fair, most of the story got good rating simply because they are from the fans that originally read it in Royalroad. When they knew that Scribblehub appeared and that their fav author is going to post there, they came in like a fire to support their authors, giving free 5 stars.

Not that there aren't any good in them, but any novels that had the fanbase would become like this at some point.

Yeah I’ve noticed but I see a lot of writing errors on ScribbleHub more for some reason. There’s been suggestions of having a option to allow readers to freely edit them, I forgot what’s it called.

Maybe it should get a App, it might be more successful! I’d definitely be on it more

Thanks for reading! Should (hopefully) have another chapter within a week or so.

Anyway, I post my novels on there, and I keep tabs on the forum, but apart from that I don't use it for much. Right now my free time is pretty spoken for, so I'm trying not to pick up any new reads. Maybe in the future i'll start to browse...

Ughh most Originals don’t have that though. In Webnovel if your lucky enough to get a contract. But their artists are not always reliable, I’ve seen sloppy or rushed covers

What costs money on RR? The only thing I'm aware off is the 2.99 ad-free/VIP subscription.

About scribble hub, I'm reading on it every week or so.

As an author, I find Scribble Hub to be very useful for its statistics page. I really don't think I would have been able to market my story as well if I had posted it anywhere else. With Scribble, I'm able to know exactly how people responded to what I did, and I can also go over to look at the views statistics of other series to see what has worked for other authors as well.

Using those mechanics, I was able to determine exactly how frequently I should be updating my chapters as well as what time of the day works best for posting updates. Of course, all these visibility gaining tricks would have been useless if I was just giving visibility to a lousy product. However, no matter how good your product is, word of mouth simply isn't enough either. Both have to be present in order to succeed.

At any rate, I've managed to gain a fair amount of success over on Scribble, and I am also definitely thankful to readers like @Nakakure who have enjoyed my work enough to share it as well.

(Quick note: Whoever runs the NU forum here, it needs a better link function.)
