Discussion ~Huskies~

Hey guys! I'm a year away from college and I just recently planned to have a husky when I'm officially done with college (roughly 5 years but who knows? *shrugs*) I know it's a while from now but I wanted to know what husky owners/parents/lovers think. What are the pros and cons? What do I have to do? Tips? Pics? Are they worth it? And perhaps funny things your husky has done. Looking forward to your response!

Pros:
Really fluffy
Great talker
Can be used as a pillow
Adorable

Cons:
Really dumb (Doesn't even know her own name and will respond to anything you call her, also forgets a lot of commands)
Needs a lot of exercise
Sheds a lot of fur
Bites on so many things (has ruined a lot of furniture in the house kek)

They seriously sound like a lot of work, be prepared going in.

 

That Huskies are less husky than Malamutes.

 

Well, uhm, they have quite a bit of fur. So if you live in a hot place, then it would probably be a good idea to regularly trim its hair a little?

 

If this is gonna be your first dog then I wouldn't recommend a husky cause they can be quite difficult My family had a husky a long time ago. Huskies can be really cute and silly but they definitely need a lot of attention from their owners(especially when they are puppies). They need much more exercise than other dogs,they like destroying toys and furniture. They are also escape masters. Huskies change their coat 2 times a year and overall shed a lot so you'll need to vacuum often.

 

There is nothing wrong for asking what pro and con an animal can brought. This isn't as if everyone you know have an Husky. For example some of my friends have dogs but none have Huskies.
This is easier to ask in forums. And many do it for advices and such. I don't know why you are saying it.

I'm not sure about trimming but you definitely can't shave them

Huskies are cute!! If you are determined to buy one, then keep in mind that you will have to take great care of it since they are a bit too dumb . Good luck!

Ohhh i love huskies never had one though but i like too. I have an Tibetian Mastiff its cute tooo...

 

Dogs are so cute! My family has three dogs but I want one of my own.

 

I want pets!! Literally dying to have pets here. Bruh, I even accept cockroaches. Just give me a pet T - T
