Theres too much foreshadowing to keep up with. I mean with his infinite gold and a huge galaxy territory, a terraforming device and his spendthrift buying of military assets he's definitely going to be powerful enough to challenge the emporer at his rate of growth. Let's not forget whatever's happening with his dog, ninja corps and 'master' training new 'deciples' in their 'style'.

 

I honestly had the image that the Guide was like Onigawara from Misao/Mad Father until I kept on reading and kept on being disappointed in his pathetic actions.

 

While we do see his pathetic side quite often, you need to remember that he'd actually would've succeeded multiple times before if it weren't for the light interfering.

Liam wouldn't have been able to beat Goaz without the mysterious sword.
He also would've been crushed by the pirate fleet at the Razel house if he didn't bring over the 12,000 ships instead of the initial 300 so that he could help out Kurt.

You need to give the guide more credit, he's actually does have some good plans to kill Liam every now and then.

 

I'm wondering if the his connection with Liam and the gratitude he keeps being bombarded with are causing the guide's affinity to gradually change without him realizing it. You notice how the people he drains negative emotions from start being better people? I don't think that's how it worked at the start of the story. And now he's helping Liam just like it's natural, and convincing himself it will all be for the worst in the end.

 

Does anyone know if there are chapters beyond volume 4's epilogue?

NU is run by fans, and it depends on the fans of a novel for updates.

 

Not yet. The author just finished volume 4 last, and in the meantime he was focusing on Otome-Mobs fourth light novel release.

And now that, that's released, the next thing he's going to update is volume seven of the Otome-mob web novel, before he starts Evil Lord's fifth volume.

 

I wonder how he would react if he became a father again, that and how he would try to raise the kid to be a horrible, spoiled, arrogant noble. Just so in the future they turn out to be seen by the public as honorable, hard working, empathic saint. Like father Like child.
