SUMMARY

so here it is
The OG ancia did suicide because she was afraid of blake face, but actually the main reason is because of she think her family already abandoned her and her sh** dad who's always abuse and scold her because ancia is the child of the woman he didn't love, just marry her for money, and there was the OG ancia memory where the count (ancia dad) told her to die by hanging herself or drown herself in the lake (that was how ancia died right?). Now, in this lifetime, ancia become a person who can be relied on by Blake. Ancia fired the servant who badmouthed blake and who is richards family people to spy on blake.
Blake also believe that everyone include his father hate him (still our lovely blake love his father ), but actually not. His father, tenstheon really love him but didn't want to show the affection because it can damage the royal reputation. In the OG novel, tentheon died from the curse (im not sure) which is result from richard scheming who told him to move blake curse to tenstheon because richard said that's the only way to save blake but actually not. And our girl Ancia is on the mission to reunite the father and son relationship.The result is ancia get tenstheon affection because he know ancia love his son sincerely and it made her (someone is blessing empire or what). Initially peoples think tenstheon love ancia justlike his daughter because he actually love his son (which is true) and planned make blake noticeable by peoples through ancia but everyone include richard know it's because ancia have the quality (if im not wrong, she use the method to increase crop growth) and they still think tenstheon abandoned his son.
In this timeline richard like ancia because objectively ancia more beautiful than diana but her beauty blocked by her gloominess, now she become someone who has more expression. Of course ancia reject him.

richard is very cunning and clever person, his craftiness causes the emperor tenstheon died. he want to become the emperor so he can get revenge on his father who's abandoned him and his mom (actually his mom is a loum slave who's get pregnant because forced by duke casil.) . Duke casil (richard dad) once told him that his mother can't be cured because of the curse illness from the goddess of light (so the goddess put so many curse on this world, not just on blake body) which name is tansy lou (i'm not sure lol). Later, he know the fact that his mother didn't died from tansy lou, it just an excuse from duke casil because he didn't care about his mom and richard so he swear on her mother grave that he will do revenge by becoming the emperor.

Actually duke want to abandoned richard justlike his mother (this duke is realy trash) but didn't do it, because he need richard brain to bring his other son (frank) to become the emperor (he didn't regard richard as his son).

Well that's a dumb reason to become emperor tbh there are so many other ways of getting revenge.Plus why get other people involved in your drama they're innocent.

 

I don't know seems pretty legit to me, not a good reason but not a dumb one, since his father wants the OTHER son (the one he likes) to become emperor imagine how pissed he'd be when the son that he hates becomes emperor. And after becoming emperor, richard could make his dad suffer however he pleases...

richard seems like a pitiful character, not gonna hate unless he does smt to my babies, gosh they're so cute

 

Yeah i feel bad for him (richard).However, the ML is innocent and a victim too.He should of joined forces so they can help each other out.Idk i just feel like he sacrificed a lot of innocent people for his goal.He isn't the only one suffering.Plus being an emperor isn't only about power it comes with a lot of responsibility. It shouldn't be only about revenge but because it's for the good of the people or to make a change for the better.

 

Spoiler: spoilih.

The emperor has sent "bodyguard/healer (idk)" for blake who named eun han who's someone the emperor saved (if im not wrong). Eun han is from the east, so each time ancia cooking eastern food (more precisely korean foods) he always watching the foods from afar but can not touch it nor eat it. Eun han can turn into a black cat and assigned to guard or cure blake when his curse caused pain. Because eunhan can turn into a cat, ancia often play with him (not so often actually, and ofc she didn't know the cat actually a human), but blake can feel there's something wrong with that cat (even eunhan is the real cat, i think blake will get jealous too :3) and get jealous easily.
blake even voluntereed himself to become a cat by voicing meowww *too bad he can't turn into a real cat hahaha" to get ancia attention because he believe ancia likes cute things include animal.

blake get jealous very easy and that cute things about him XD

i just thought about it but doesn't blake's curse sound familiar? i swear i read a promo somewhere where the female mc has a mask to hide the dark marks on her face and there's also Sincerely. and what is up with kr authors' deal with cursed/dark marks on the face???

 

yes, i thought so too maybe sentence curse at the face on the male/female lead is quite popular in manhwa
there's a manhwa that have sentence curse on the face too, if im not wrong the title is duke maid or something

Spoiler: finally he know the truth

Finally blake know the truth about his father affection for him and know that all of ancia word who said tensetheon actually love him is true. It's because he caught eun han and forced eunhan to tell him truth. So eunhan tell him that he is sent by tensetheon to guard him.

eunhan also said about he's ready to accept all punishment (idk about what's the reason, this part too hard for me to understand) but blake said he didn't want his savior to get any punishment because blake remember eunhan once saved his life. At first, he thought he just dreamed it because he think no one care for him even his own father. After that, blake give eunhan warning to not to get close to ancia. Blake worry ancia will fall for eunhan handsome face (or unique face?).

Spoiler: chap 37-38

Ancia want to go to tenla rung, the ancient forbidden place since that place was the cursed place (im not sure) so she think she will find a clue about blake curse. but the idea was rejected by the emperor.
tensetheon said he wouldn't made ancia life in risk for his son, but ancia insisted to go there. She win the debate and emperor sent eunhan to escort her. When ancia go, she lie to blake (ofc.if blake know he will against that idea) that she want to attend dance class or something.
