That was the reason I left ff, because filter function was too weak and it kept coming back with things I did not want That's why I suggested ao3, kudos system is a good system to see whether a story is liked or not, but even if you don't have that, ao3 has far detailed filter option. For example, I have never saw a single OC or Mary Sue insertion fic because I filtered them out, or for example authors always try to tag OOC characters, you need to pick according to those tags, they exist for a reason However, I see your, and some other user, who was swearing at fanfic authors very... unnecessary. Let people do what they want, especially considering I have seen a fair share of fanfic authors with superb skills, or fanfic authors who also have published works of their own stories. If you are not interested in fanfiction, you can check original section of ao3, otherwise, I have no other suggestions for you.
I thought you'd give me the whole filtered list of best non slash, long fics so I can pick for myself. We don't exactly have the same taste. Besides some of this are slash again...
Tbh only thing ao3 lacks is genre selector, and its damn hard to pick apart nonnslash without it im sorry ;-; but i do think the author i i susuggeed is splendid
You can if you choose the html coding option OR choose a different ship Like to not get yaoi you choose hetero option etc
If you wait a bit more tho hm i heard ao3 is planing to include to exclude option so you wont need html knowledge to search in future
I know html, just tried to exclude M/M in categories, still nothing. AO3 is simply not worth it if you're not into slash.

Not Worth The Effort. I can't excpect exclude option on M/M to work? Why not,it's supposed to do that, it's simple unless the developer is a tard. Even the outdated ff.net with the few of it's options has them all working. Besides if 100 000 out of 250 000 HP fics are slash that just speaks what kind of authors go there and it's not my type. Even if I was gay or liked reading gay romances, there's nothing realistic about Harry/Draco. Magical Britain is medieaval, for them it would be worse than any rumours and ostracising that usually happened to Harry when he was suspected of being a dark lord and whatnot.

Ah? All my recent fanfiction are up on AO3. I tried doing some crossposting to ff, but no one there was interested. They were interested in my old Naruto fics, though... I remember back when self-inserts were considered the trashiest of fanfics. I wrote a self-insert once, as a teen, then took the name of my self-insert (Anra) as my username as a reminder to myself never to do it again. Ah? It’s very easy to exclude slash.
