Well, that clarifies things. It's always good to hear all sides of an argument. :cookie:

You get points for making people happy, and if you make them happy enough they bake you brownies. This is how life works. :cookie:

I got inapproriate content warning and my post removed for mentioning mangazuki.co and its raw site (BTW, I had not linked them), tho. :blobconfused::blobdizzy:

P.S. It happened on OP's locked thread.

P.P.S. If the mangazuki raw site is considered an aggregator, I can understand why it was removed. But why was the mangazuki TL site struck out, too?

Going raw isn't always the best.

    Pls read my edited post.
P.S. Not complaining, just asking for clarification since I got flagged for inappropriate content, and not for mentioning aggregator.

I don't know. I very rarely read manga so I don't really know which site is a legit raw site. My group does manga too however we buy most of our manga from our own pocket.

Translator sites are okay. Novel Updates links to them to begin with, and it would make no sense to censor them on the forums. This goes for manga scanlators, as well, of course, and sites like Mangadex that host scanlator's translations with their permission. Aggregators, which pirate content for profit without the permission of anyone at all, are a different story. You may not link to or even name an aggregator on these forums. You can discuss them, but you must not direct people to them or recommend them to others. Doing so is not only immensely disrespectful to the translators that make this community possible, but could also cause issues for Novel Updates as a site.

And this goes for raw aggregators as well, yes. I'm not personally familiar with mangazuki, but you cannot link to a raw aggregator regardless of whether it's run by translators or not. It doesn't matter who owns it. If @Tony went and made an aggregator for some reason, you still wouldn't be able to link to it on these forums, understand?

Ah, and please be aware that NUF's moderators are not infallible. If we remove a link to a scanlator site that we believed to be a manga aggregator at first glance, just let us know so we can correct the mistake.

Thank you for the response. I was confused since the warning was for "inappropriate content" which I understood as NSFW content. And was further requested not to discuss "content of this nature" on site. Warnings for aggregator mentions, from my previous experiences, tend to be different. Note I had mentioned both the raws aggregator (momentary indiscretion on my part) as well as TL site (valid). But the TL site was also removed. I am not challenging the decision but asking what said decision was based on so that I can know whether bringing up pornhwa TL sites here is OK. :blobconfused:

    TIA for your patience. :blobsalute:

Warning messages have default templates. I usually rewrite mine because the defaults sound kind of silly. It sounds like the one you got was just default, so don't think too much about the wording.
