Seems more like a transmigration or reborn trope by the description. Like he changes overnight into a more mature person, if it is, it might be quite nice, but it better not be like you suggested otherwise it might be a little too dark for me.

I got traumatized by novel of qidian too. Too much rape, abused, douchbag male lead. I avoid qidian like it was disgust and disaster.
As for Korean I have no hope because all male lead are murder who killed original mc in every novel. I think this novel is abused and angst too,

I'm not sure, I tried reading it using Google translator, but all I got was a broken English and a headache.

 

It isn't a reincarnation story and their isn't any rape or physical abuse by the husband. The story starts 3 years after their marriage, she's 20 now, and she wants a divorce. However, the Duke refuses. He doesn't 'change' until her parents die and he realizes that she's alone. And starts worrying about her because when she asked for the divorce and he refused she says it be better to die than keep living like she has for the past 3 years.

Sure, but I didn't read that far into the story. All I know is that the ML is known as the "Cursed Duke" because all 3 of his fiancée/wives (it was either 2 or 3) died. It turns out that his cousin who is a prince was jealous of him. So knowing how much he wanted a family decided to kill all the women he was close too. However, the real reason he can't divorce her is because her father put a divorce clause into their marriage agreement stating that if he and his wife died than they would have to stayed married. In an attempt to make her happy he brings her maid, Ivy, and childhood friend, Jack, over. But, he gets jealous of Jack and she feels like he's treating her like a slave. In the end they make an agreement to try to get along as husband and wife for 3 months and if she still wants a divorce afterwards, he'll allow it.

Oh, and she doesn't know about the clause so she thinks he won't divorce because of the Prince. He makes it seem as if he's using her, which doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Rather than being physically abusive it was more like marital neglect. Which led to everyone else in the mansion (maids, servants,etc) and other nobility to treat her like trash.
