I was expecting them to continue the cooking contest and have the Snooty guy be one of the judges.He would give good marks and Fran would be satisfied, but she would not win. Either the orphanage or the Dragon soup guy would win first. Thus promoting rivalry and also because Fran's goal was not actually about winning the competition. Kinda sad it didn't pan out that way. although I did expect them to give away the recipe cus the mentioned more than once that they would benefit more if it became widespread then not. Over all, I am disappointed in how the author just sort of tossed the possibilities aside for that side quest. Oh well off to the predetermined next arcs. The Labarinth's cities 2 dungeons, the tournament styled festival, and the capitols auctions.(not to mention the meeting with the god during the full moon) Then to make it back to the starter town to report and get that adventure promotion boost to C rank. I don't know why the author loves t lay out future content and wrap up every arc nice and tidy. This is the first arc I think that he has left loose ends to be explored latter.

Yeah, that's definitely out, you can't see the world, or eat new curry, or eat new curry in new parts of the world...they also have to catch that Zerais bastard, but I think that can wait until the seeds of curry sprout around the world.

I'm catching up to the Chapters I've been stockpiling, and something been bugging me.
The Rank of the Monster seems strange. I'm up to the point where they killed the Disaster Pill Bug, a High-Tier C rank threat (almost B rank)
and they struggled pretty hard against it. and recently, that seems to be about the theme. They are around High C rank in power.

But wasn't the Forest the MC was in at the start a B-A rank area? as In he was killing B-rank threats in the first few chapters.
Why is it that even being so much stronger, they are struggling against These lower things?

 

MC's home was surrounded by terribly strong monsters, that he killed by suicidally driving his blade through them, usually ending up in a tattered state, not actually fighting. This battle was for Fran mostly, and the pill bug was a monster chosen by the dungeon to match their fighting style. This wasn't as good a match-up for them as their other tough battles have been up to now, mostly, Rynford, the Lich, and the giant worm were on a different scale all together.

 

That's True, good points. I guess the odd wait the ranking system was used kinda threw me off.
