I don't think so? I mean, peasants would just cook their own meal because that would be much cheaper than eating out... A restaurant would probably be a luxury good of sorts, aimed at nobility and stuff.

And well, you'd need contacts to get them to give your place a try and stuff, so... I don't think it would be a feasible option for most people, really.

There would also be a question of a start up cost as well, you need to get the ingredients and tools, a place to actually cook the food and serve it to people.
Even just a simple stall in a market place might cost money just to be allowed to sell there, let alone having to buy a property.

    Oh, good points~

Not to mention that you'd probably need permission from the local cooks association (guild maybe? I dunno the historically accurate term for it) in order to even establish any sort of business there...

lol You can't just give me a bunch of scenarios when you haven't even specified the world and their culture. If you ignore these, cooking will be the best answer.

Eh, it is the other way around, it is your answer that only works if you specify the world.

I think the safest way to earn the richest is through the educational system. The knowledge we learn at compared to the past very different and wide variety. I'm good with biology and chemistry so can enroll on to a school as a student assuming im born into money. Then I can slowly rise and become professor. I might become a thief but the research will have their evidence.

Another is applying the knowledge on skincare and health products and get rich that way.
