So i got Shadow Warrior for free a couple of weeks ago, and I am now only downloading it. However, my laptop isn't really a gaming laptop and I dont want to wait for the download for hours only for me to be disappointed because my laptop can't handle the game. So I checked the system requirements, but I have no idea what it means ;_; can anyone tell me if my laptop can handle it My laptop's specs: Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 14393) (14393.rs1_release.170706-2004) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: HP System Model: HP Notebook BIOS: F.17 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100U CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Memory: 6144MB RAM Available OS Memory: 6034MB RAM Page File: 4092MB used, 8086MB available Windows Dir: C:\windows DirectX Version: DirectX 12 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled Shadow warrior Minimum requirements: OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 Processor: 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor or higher Memory: 2 GB RAM Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 3870/NVIDIA 8800 GT or better DirectX: Version 9.0c Storage: 15 GB available space Additional Notes: An unabashed love of katanas is preferable.
Simple answer? No. Why? Laptop has no love for katanas. On serious note it might be a tad weak. Lack a little processor and graphic I don't know. Since there is no mention of it in your laptop. But you might on lowest settings.
If you don't understand these things: https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri C(an) Y(ou) R(un) I(t) -- It downloads a detector, which then sends it back to the site, and it shows if you meet the minimum/recommended
unfortunately you are missing a video card (or you just forgot to include it on your specs, look for the sticker on your laptop if it got "radeon" or "geforce/nvidia" to see if it got gpu) You passed everything in minimum requirements but the video card. it is playable but expect massive lag may be playable on 20-30 fps at lowest settings possible (and im still being optimistic with it)
thats the onboard gpu(aka integraded graphics card),expect lag because it's eating the resources from your cpu;i3-6100 video card(aka dedicated graphics card) is what we need to make this baby run. unfortunately if your computer dictates it's gpu is HD from intel, it meant it didnt have the dedicated GPU (Radeon and Geforce is what we need) EDIT: as you can see, in minimum requirements Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 3870/NVIDIA 8800 GT or better you would be needing a dedicated graphics card for it. and has to be greater than Radeon's HD 3870 or NVDIA's GT 8800
I played it with lowest settings with similar laptop. It's playable but janky. Do it on lowest difficulty and just spam the katana. Expect to be unable to hit the side of a barn with the guns until you get used to the lag.
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=10&cmp[]=1279&cmp[]=3255 Your Intel HD 520 is faster than both those graphics cards, so you should be able to run the game. My 8800 GT cost me like $300 back in 2008, soit's crazy to see that integrated graphics are faster now
incorrect, sadly( in laymen term ) HD graphics is heavily dependent with the computers CPU, so if you got a i7 for that, it could run fine or better, but if you got i3 just like OP, i believe having a dedicated 8800 GT gpu would be faster. In technichal term, i3 cpu has lower clock power than i5 or i7's, that also goes for it's integrated gpu clock power. and it also eat's your cpu's processing power, so instead of having your cpu running the program 100%, it will use less because another resource for graphical calculation was being used, if you add an external dedicated GPU, you would have the 100% for the program and 100% for graphics calculation to the gpu thus faster.
You should be able to run it at least. Is it playable? Heheheheh, likely not. Even at the lowest graphical setting you'd probably be pulling your hair at the long loading time or lagging gameplay. Integrated Intel (HD) GPU can be treated as last ditch GPU when you have nothing else better. If you run your system through systemrequirements, you will find that that they will say your system is below minimum spec and you won't be able to play it. Most of the time though, you can play it, just that the developers of the game suggest that you don't play it on that spec because they don't want bad steam evaluations.
You'll most likely be able to run it, but I doubt you can play it in peace. You barely even have the minimum requirements to run it, much more actually smoothly playing it. Just change your graphics card and processor, then you'll be able to smoothly run it.
