This author is full of bs. The mc feels hollow and stupid. He has no real motivation or goals. Why does he want to be the king of hollywood? He doesn't even care about fame or anything. The characters all have warped personalities. The author makes Bill Gates into a petty little turd. I have never heard anything bad about Bill Gates. Bill Gates would have never been the richest man in the world, if he was that stupid and petty.
Bill Gates has his bad moments. I recall him cutting his children off at a certain point to fend for themselves. He gave them a healthy amount of capital, but also exorbitant lifestyles. Also, he's turned down charities (such as one for glasses) because their cause didn't earn the same publicity as cancer. He's a person. Nothing more, nothing less.
To be honest i don't really care about the fiction counter parts in real life, even if bill gates was a girl dress up as a school girl, or some famous actress that was ugly but made in the novel beautiful. About the protagonist i actually like him, for me he is has more personality than most protagonist are example: Lin ming in martial world is dull as f*ck caring nothing but martial arts and getting stronger, but the protagonist in I'm in hollywood has a possessive personality even though he's a womanizer, rather than I don't give a f*ck about them and can replace them anytime want. like Qing Shui, he's a perverted guy but as the same time has his faults as well.
When I was about 10, I read Bill Gate's biography. It was quite inspirational for someone in the 90's at that time. However, even then with it making him the MC, it was quite apparent that he was a petty person starting out. Now, he's of course mellowed quite a bit. He's not on the level of Steve Jobs; if Jobs was a 10, Gates would be around a 6 or 7 in the past. Honestly, if you just knew the Windows OS history and how it propagated, you'd know just how petty someone with that business model would have to have been to implemented it. Smart, and quite brilliant, yes. But still petty.
Because if one rant isn't enough then 1000 will suffice ofc. All that counts in business is the results, the methods to achieve that will be forgotten by most in time and people will just look at what you ended up doing. Wouldn't call him petty , I'd rather call him as someone impressive that knew what to do when he had to once an opportunity presented itself.
Because it's fiction novel (and cn *cough*) He doesn't crave for fame, just want remarkable achievements (through plagiarism *cough*) since he was a director (or producer?) and person from movies industry in previous life. Well if normal people reincarnated into the past, why bother making film if you could obtain riches with sport gambling or stock exchange *shrugs*
With all due respect senpai, to be THAT successful and rich, a high level of pettiness is a given. but i want to follow through with this rant about this book. the ending made me feel like I've wasted a couple of months of my short life. This kind of open ending is very farked up! Arghhh
