Im thinking of writing a novel (need some ideas)

I've been wanting to write a novel as well, I'm just bloody lazy and cannot be bothered.
Maybe show us your prologue/first chapter to motivate me and give you some much needed advice for the novice writer.

Also, lol can you add something stupid like dwarves wearing slippers to/for combat.

Since its Magic based, you might as have powerlevel defined by Circle X mage.
Circle 1 Mage/Shaman/Runesword etc (Can barely defeat a trained soilder)
to Circle 10 mage/Shaman/Runesword etc (Can devastate continents solo)

Sounds good. As long as you don't give easy access to broken abilities like instant teleportation / blink, stay away from any kind of trash harem, and don't make some blessing by many goddesses random bs, I'll check it out.

Oh, you might wanna think about how the world is governed. Monarchy, socialist, communist, democracy, federation, Republic, ect.

Also Religion.

 

decide on unique culture for each races/country

power lvl : decide on the strongest being. what the strongest being can do? destroy a whole continent with just a wave of his hand? will MC surpass it? or maybe below the strongest but MC still among the strongest.

decide the strongest limit then break it down to several level.

If the mc is a beast maybe jungle law can be the cultivate technic for mc.. mc can eat another beast
For languange you can make mc can form to beast man if reach a level and can understand anothet languange..
Beast kingdom maybe can be your shelter after you reach beast man mode to reach advance cultivate technic..
And if its multiple race its better if you can make the power ranking by using "level" so power ranking every race is same just the technic different per race..
If there multiple race its sure there is a war ..
Magic or warrior you can make if people can detect mana you can be a mage if you detect qi you can be warrior.. mana can be detect outside of body but qi is inside the body..

My first suggestion to you is to write out each chapter in a Word/LibreOffice document first. Try and get each chapter to at least 2,500-3,000 words. And do not publish to RRL until you have about 25+ chapters built up, giving you about a month buffer if you're planning on releasing daily. This helps to avoid you feeling pressured to put out a chapter if you have writer's block. It also helps you know if you could continue the story once published, since you've been able to write out over 70,000 words by that point.

As for your points, please make sure the character is not a slime, dragon, skeleton, snake, etc. Those have been overdone and come with too much baggage and expectation by the readers. The second point, please help the characters be more than their typical animal stereotypes that you've read about with most beastmen.

As far as power rankings, most Xianxia is heavily influenced by the number 9. So have each division divided into 9 parts and have 9 divisions. In your 7 realms (which probably should be 9, and have each controlled by a different beast race) have the ruler live in a 9-floor pagoda. Each floor has a mini-boss character that is the strongest person in that power division of that race. So the person ruling those realms would be at the very top floor.

 

You could draw his name from his backstory.. That's what writers usually do with mc's e.g. Shuras wrath Ling tian (above the heavens) or chu feng form MGA (to push oneself forward)

 

So ive got an idea and it involves Pandoras Box and all the superpower (Sects, Kingdoms ECT) are after it would that be a good end goal? Thoughts?

Oh, I thought it important to say. But, you should also think about how the magic based tech will effect fighting strength.

 

Magic and a ranking, haha. How about the ranking is something a god put there (you have gods?) and then the MC appeared there (on the top ranking) making all going to chaos. But actually the MC is weak or actually isn´t, but he don´t want to fight. The Mc is surprised to be there too Then those 7 realm guys appear and destroy something he like/love/want. You want a chinese story or japanese or Korean Story? They are quiet different actually.

 

How about the 7 realms rulers are bored? And they make their realms their play world or something. And the people are miserable as pieces on a chess board or something.

 

It would be interesting to have an MC who is not humanoid, or at least not wholly humanoid. Or an MC who does not think like a human. I mean, there are certain commonalities with any organism but if you can create a sort of...alien feeling, then that would really be fun to read.

Though that is hard as a human.
