Question Is Shoujo Grand Summoning reading?

I'm running out of novels to read, I'm wondering if Shoujo Grand Summoning is worth reading?
Please comment the pros and cons of this novel.

I'd recommend Everyone Else is a Returnee, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Dungeon Defense, No Game No Life, Overlord, Library of Heaven's Path, and Praise the Orc if you've haven't read them. Also check royalroadl for Number One Under Heaven, The Dao of Magic, and Dungeon Heart (my top 3).

It's summoning anime girls to fight for you. Literally. He gets a system that is akin to hypnotizing the said anime girl into feel like MC is her master(not exactly hypnotizing, since they feel a "connection" to MC). Then, he goes into various anime worlds to conquer anime girls and whatnot. First is the Hayate no Gotoku arc and in that arc, he gets a Mikasa(Certain Scientific Railgun). Forgot whether he got Mikasa before or after, but yeah.

The girls are also ranked in the letter system(E to S) and that's all I remember. I think I saw someone write this before, that the 3rd or 4th arc is really where it starts picking up and becomes fun to read(I think Swords & Magic arc or Mecha arc). Before and after that, it sort of is boring.

 

It's fine work however it is heavily based on animes and other works. So like in the work with naruto fanfic it'll be hard to get it without watching those animes.

 

I would rate it as an ok read but the auth tends to rant on about the girls far to much when the 3rd one joined the group dear god the auth had the biggest fanboy orgasm over it, which tends to annoy me as I would like the story to progress rather than have it drilled into my head how awesome the girl is for multiple chapters.

Well, if you like JP isekai novels about bros being OP and collecting harem, this is that, but Chinese. It's a little too middle school for my tastes but it's generally okay. Translation could use an editor, but it's pretty easy to understand. It's dumb fun in the vein of Long Live Summons.

 

The way I understand this, isn't this like netorae? What I mean is, if he is going to different worlds and "conquering" the female characters from said anime, isn't he cucking them from the main characters of said anime?

Like, if he summons Asuna from SAO and because obviously it's a harem, and she gets with him doesn't that make this a netorae?

 

No, in this case it would be netori because MC is NTR'ing others.

Ya, I know the difference. But he's still cucking someone else, genius. It's why I asked because this novel is essentially a novel about a random character stealing heroines from other novels. And if that was the case I wanted nothing to do with it. Whether the the main character from other series is in the novel is irrelevant.

 

Basically, it's a MC-insert xianxia-style fanfiction for a bunch of anime. So, if you watch a lot of anime (or read the manga/novels in some cases) and also like xianxia you might like it. Yes, he'll take a bunch of heroines from the normal main characters of the anime... but at least the first three "shoujos" are from harem anime with indecisive protagonists who never choose the summoned girl. There's also no "feeling" of netori because he summons them from before they ever met their anime's main character.

I personally recommend Shoujo Grand Summoning for anyone who likes ecchi harem anime but thinks they'd be better if the protagonists were perverted sociopaths.
