God hath abandoned us. They really couldn't have picked a more cliche adaptation. Who even decided to make this a thing?

as long as the animation is acceptable i don't have any problem/s against this title getting anime... but I have a bad feeling about this~

 

Meh they did the one about the dude with the phone, so not surprising they did this. I wonder if Re:Monster will get an adaptation, be kind of funny what with Goblin Slayer being so popular. (I am assuming it is popular cause of all the memes I constantly see about it.)

 

there's more than one adaptation that's worse than this, it's nothing new.

How popular is it in Japan? Since we know they pick the popular one to be adapted.
The manga is quite....average, and the novel then nobody picked it up after the original translator quit.
This just prove that Isekai is gaining more popularity than people expected, though there are bunch of other long running isekai novel/manga but why this one?

 

I still hope to see a Re:Monster anime at some point myself. Not sure how easy it would be to do without censoring the everliving crap out of it, though. -_-

Yeah, lets see we've got blood gore, sex scenes, sex slaves, sex scenes with sex slaves. Definitely would have to be marked as mature content. Although another thought just occurred to me, and now I'm less excited.

If they did make a Re:Monster anime it would probably mostly be CGI. Remember Overlord, and how many cool moments they ruined with their crappy CGI, the Death Knights, Ainez battle against the angles, Mormon battle with the ogres, Nabe fight with the skeleton dragons. All awesome scenes in the novel, turned into awkward stiff plastic looking fights cause of shitty low quality CGI.

 

That's there best choice.Really....

Magi grandson for me is not one of the worse Isekai novel there is out there. It is a solid average novel. Filling boredom and easy to discard once you stop

As for why? Well Japan seems to milking the cash cows as much as they can. Like what marvel does with the Super Hero genre. People will get tired slowly but surely. We are seeing current trends of bad Isekai with huge names being released.

Goblin slayer created a controversy for it's first episode, which help it gain a lot of attention. And the story isn't really bad, they embody the typical adventurer character.

For re:monster, I really don't wish for an anime. As I fear heavy use of bad CGI (I don't mind good CGI) and a lot of censorship. Like what happened with Terra Formars who got destroyed with it's censorship.

Honestly for the novel: how a realist hero rebuild the kingdom to be adapted depends on the Japanese interest. It could happen but I am personally finding it as average as magi's grandson.

 

Well they even adapted the isekai smartphone.. :/

 

Nah, Smartphone got 16 Volumes, and was one of the older one(2013), so it's popularity is more understandable. 2 Digits Volume number is a Dream Number for Many LN Authors in Japan, and to keep staying on those digits is even harder.

 

Dang. Didn’t noticed it have so much volumes.. how the hell did it manage to become so popular when both novel and anime are so bland..
