I don't see the cons.. the more the better. Maybe wait till its completed and depends on the price and reviews.
I think this is going in the right direction, would be better if they made revenue from ads rather than Subscription model. But they also need a way bigger library to charge for a subscription service. If I'm going to subscribe to some sort of paid subscription model I would probably go to Kindle Unlimited. They have an enormous library, and it's equivalent to a netflix subscription.
Its okay they have free membership too(delayed released chapters for free members + ads if they like) but releasing this system without that it could easily its fanbase of novel easily dying or fans of novels are minimal (this is what happened yen press that danmachi series becoming silent hills, sao it become vaporware that so popular then destroyed due dmca this dmca that
Me too. I'd wait until it gets on Kindle with reviews and buy the whole book. No big deal. It's monthly, right? You can think of it as a donation if you want to do membership.
I am not really interested in what appears to be another Kindle service. I don't really know much, buy it, download, and read? I can buy $4.00 used paperbacks from Amazon.com and they should be by authors that made it into the New York Best Sellers List. When push comes to shove, I don't see a another Kindle service competing. I also think this could cause translator sites some problems, too. My 2 cents.
We aren't a kindle service, in fact we'll be selling all our books on kindle, too. It's just that while they are being translated you can subscribe and read them week to week online or on our apps. Or if you want to just read entire volumes, you can buy the ebooks after they are published on Amazon, etc. Since we'll be adding up to 10 series total, $4.50 a month will let you read ~5-6 volumes of light novels a month! Way better deal than your used paperback I'd say (well, maybe they aren't all New York Times Best Sellers... yet!)
I liked the idea, no way I'll subscribe to it, but having more official translations is always welcome to me, I might buy the E-books when they are released if I think the story has an interesting premise.
If this make posible to me the novels that were licensed (shipping + tax + devaluation make it expensive and hard to buy) can be read on ebooks..., I will pay! I had dropped a lot of novels because they were licensed... I use kindle app on my mobile and i like to buy books on ebook version on kindle (even more than google books)
