He's one of the self improvement guys I've seen on youtube. He claims to be a scientist, doctor who scientifically invented steps how to meditate yourself into a person you wish to be, a new personality, as well as improve health greatly. IMO he looks like a scammer, people online say he doesn't have degree except for chiropractice, his research doesn't check out. His videos though are very inspiring, he is a great speaker, gives you hope...but so do scammers. He sells books and online courses and live seminar, all moderately expensive.
Did he talk about something like "quantum energy" "Supernatural energy stuff" ? If so he is 98% scammer. Can't fully trust someone who make living out of pseudoscience.
Short Answer: Sort of Long Answer: He seems to be a person that at least started out genuinely trying to help people. A lot of what he says can be applied to your life or at least get you reflecting on how to improve yourself. That said there are many things that he says that are pseudoscience and metaphysical mumbo jumbo that is passed off as if it were the truth. Listen to his stuff if you like it but be aware that much of it is suspect.
Sort of, I only watched the hour long interview, not his course or books. He mentions quantum as in having an effect before the cause and emotional energy. What I gathered is that he made meditation exercises in which by the end you go in a trance and can hypnotize yourself to change.
If you ever need to question whether someone is a scammer, they probably are. You're recognizing all the signs but only see what you want to see. Ever heard of Eckhart Tolle? People like them just take religious teachings and re-brand them. Mindfulness is just another cult.
welp that explains him in a nutshell. Dude is sincere, but full of shit. Reason why it worked out for him is simple : because he has predisposition for hypnosis. If you also are like this, it's possible it can help, but if you're not, 100% worthless. No need to think of hypnosis as something elusive, strange, or fictional. It's kinda like ASMR : ASMR can help some people sleep while others are confused as to what the point of it is. You can also compare it to the placebo effect : works for enough people that it's an observable effect, but doesn't work for everyone so some people think it's fake. He's just adding his mumbo jumbo on top of it like a tribalistic shaman. And no, it doesn't have to do with how strong or weak your mind is. None of that macho bs either.
