On another note, I should take over this thread already... The OP is too out of date. Especially on rules. I'll see if I can do it at some weekend.
@AliceShiki what's your thoughts on the prince. I've gotten feedback on this before but players feel like the prince gets the short end of the stick since they have the most targets to kill and how succession works. They do have the Lowest win rate
Actually wait, my last statement is wrong. The formatting had me confused for a minute. It's not that bad
Prince's main advantage is being a low-priority target... And last I checked the Revo was the lowest win-rate role, not Prince. It is a role that does feel like it gets the short end of the stick, but I dunno how to rebalance it tbh... Maybe taking it out of Knight's wincon could help. It does feel weird for the prince to have 4 enemies after all. ... It's a bit worrisome to have the Prince basically immune to Deathblow though, since he is already immune to Sorcery. Perhaps taking him out of Double's wincon could work as well, would allow the double to have choices of allies, instead of just being the insta king ally... That could lead to interesting gameplay, alright~ Ah, I think it shouldn't be too hard. I just need to copy paste rulings from Scribbly and update the TOC... And probably scratch player rankings and the like, too high maintenance. *pat pat pat*
Also, some notes on the Revo: Revo is a really strong role due to the massive power that is being able to instantly one shot anyone, especially since nobody has any form of revo protection. The problem with it however, is that it is a high priority target for basically everyone except Knight... Even the Sorc tends to want the Revo out early, because the Revo is a role that doesn't want to keep the Sorc Alive much. So... While Revo can technically win together with Sorc, the most likely outcome is that Sorc will do their best to kill the Revo... Which essentially leaves Revo as a role with 4 enemies, and a kill ability that is slower than Sorcery. How to rebalance that? I don't have a clue. Revo is stupidly strong, so it makes sense that it is a high-priority target... But this leads to an exceedingly low win-rate, which is a balance problem in my view. On the other hand, our sample size is still pretty small due to the nature of this being a forum game and matches taking a while, so... Maybe Revo has no issues at all and the only problem was that there were some issues with player skill/luck on most matches they got revo. So like, Revo is a case in study I guess. It's kinda hard to know what to do with it. ... Oh, and then there is also an issue with playerbase decisions, like... If people are more secretive with their roles, Revo has a better winning chance because people can't fish it out early. But if people go role-claiming whimsically, the chances of Revo being found and killed are just way too high...
Ors i accidentally fat fingered a paragraph I was writing and deleted it. Its a bit too late for me to write it again. Removing the double could make it quite fun indeed. Basically a couple though about revo. I'll do it tomorrow About the whimsicalness and playstyles of players and whatnot
You couldn't use the undo function of NUF's text editor to fix it!? >.< It's so sad to lose our progress... T.T
You make a new post with all the necessary information you'd like to have on the OP, then ask a mod to move that post up, to become the first post of the thread. The mods are usually fine with doing that for game threads with OPs that disappeared a long time ago. Sometimes you can also ask them to move your post to a different position other than first post, like how I got the 3rd posts of Males VS Females and of Aestus Domus Aurea.
Ohh, I see! I thought you had just naturally had the 3rd post in that thread and was like, "how lucky~"
Ehehehehhee, I requested for it~ ... It's actually kinda funny to look at it now, because it seems that the way mods move posts around within a thread, is by changing their timestamp... So in Males VS Females, I have a post in July 1st, 2016, which is where the 3rd post of the thread is... But my first post in the forums was in August 12th, 2016... So I have a post made before my first post for the sake of moving the thread around~ ... I wonder if some sort of bug would happen if a post had to be moved to a point before the acc was made, like... If I were to take over a thread made before April 2016, would that work out, or would the system go crazy? I'm so curious now~
