Honestly, this is just very shaky? The beef between both sites are well known, so anyone can basically just pretend to be them to rile things up. There's no concrete proof it's actually them than 'they sound similar'.

I'm going to hold back from rushing to conclusions to this one, unless something concrete pops up because it's just a he said, she said moment.

 

well dude, you should write directly to kobato not post on NUF........this shit already happened with WW and QI, i'm tired sick of private matter between translator begin posted on the forum and involve reader for matter we can't change.....

 

I don't thinks it's a grey area since it was posted in a Korean forum site.
The timing of the post and the comment Kobato made seems impeccable to me.

Actually, if I’m reading that document right, those comments are anonymous and from 3 separate accounts, Meteor is the one who put Kobato’s name in front of them while saying Kobato is the one who most likely said them based on the very blurry discord screencap which I assume is Kobato ranting about similar things but I can’t see.

 

someone who is deframing other on the "assumption" they are beign deframed is just riduculous.....i don't see anything sympatetic in doing that

 

I am sorry to say this but, the evidence you have provided are not enough to actually determine who wrote it.
From what i saw here, it's just as likely that you wrote it and blames kobato to smear shit in his face, as it is kobato that wrote it to smear shit in your face.
There is also the third alternative of someone unrelated having read a post like this form one of the parts in this conflict and desided to take kobatos side and then become vocal about it when looking for raws to read.

So i will ask both parties now to stop taking this face slaping conflict into the public eye and keep it private.
If you are actually so sure about it being kobato then just go to court with it and get it done once and for all, and please don't make more threads like this without proper evidence doing so will only make the public image of Meteor Strike Media and kobato worse and could lead to mutual destruction.

If you take this as me trying to defame you, you can just take it that way, i just don't want NOVELUPDATES to become a place where people trow shit at eachother.

I'm sorry but could someone please summarise the complete events?
So Meteor and Kobato were fighting over the rights to a novel, Meteor won, so "Kobato" is attempting defamation?

 

Tsk I don't know Oblueknighto, If they really take action that would not be the best for meteor and/or Kobato. I mean sure it could be someone else trying to frame Kobato but from what I've seen it really looks like Kobato himself trying this things out. I mean both are basically rivals but he really shouldn't have gone to the author and complain to the author. If they both make the offer and the author picked Meteor then Kobato shouldn't have anything to complain about. If Kobato win then I am sure Meteor strike won't have anything to complain about.

And plus Meteor strike isn't really creating drama, it's a warning, if this continues in the future Kobato might get sued. So in this case it's good that Kobato gets a warning before being sued. Us readers don't really want to see both side fight at all but just wants to read more novels. But in the case of this I see Kobato being in the wrongs here.

 

Maybe is kobato actually does his job and put more work in translating , then maybe he won't have to split his novels in pages and.people will actually give a sh1t about his site for the 1st time in a long time.
