It's okay. Mediocre. It constantly feels like the MC isn't doing anything for the past while though. Wish they'd just get on with it already.
Puns are horrible and the use of modern names from popular culture are cringe-worthy at best however it is a nice and interesting read.
you know most series will spend 10 chapters at most to set up the world? this one does that for 70 give or take before the MC manages to solve the main problem stopping him practicing magic so not ze tian ji level but close to it but with a more morally grey protagonist.
oh okay then .. i asked this cause MC looks like vampire from picture and description isnt bad so i thought it i would give it a try but before i did i started this thread so i guess i wont read it anymore. Thanks for your time everyone
Gets a bit childish with some of the modern references. its a good read than most but its not really mature. In Japanese terms, it's more shonen (wanna say naruto) than a seinen (beserk). There was not enough gore, killing and self centerness that typical Chinese xianxia/xuanhuan have were I stopped reading. If you like tales of demon and gods, the great ruler, ect... with modern references such as harry potter, pirates of the Caribbean and McDonald's (first time I saw it on an Chinese novel or any for that mater) then you'll like it (this is why I was like "Nope" and stopped reading there and then).
The ending is not satisfying and the sequel got a lot of harsh review that made me hesitated to continue
It depends on your preference, If you like some fast paced novel with power up junkie MC, mindless slaughter, and retard side character. Maybe this one isn't for you.
Spoiler: short summary of 10 or plus chaps. MC is a cripple, can't do muscle training or magic, but smart(?) [reads many books and use that to blackmail girl(s). Lucky mc, gets ummmm, a forbidden magic(?), lewd eye magic(I know you know what it means)
