besides that nobody outside of QI's workforce would translate it - the author is either missing or on a hiatus since May ... and damn I loved this translator's quality (not to mention the additional informations)
I think you are going to be disappointed if you look into this translation. Ignoring the issues with a pretty bad website and trying to take a novel from Qidian, the translation quality was not impressive from the brief sample I looked at.
I read the chapter and I have trouble understanding what is going on, is the girl saying she was kidnapped the ugly girl who uses magic to seduce men, or was that the madam the protagonist stabbed? It has been a while since I read it so I forgot which names were which.
The "ugly girl" (I get the feeling she is more average than ugly) is the madam's apprentice and top whore. The girl is saying she was kidnapped by the brothel. The madam, being part of its leadership, was in on that scheme and has tried to have the girl taken away to a private place to be executed when the MC confronted her, to eliminate the witness. I am honestly surprised the MC didn't specify the part where the madam actually had her guards fight him while trying to dispose of the witness. this kind of thing is really relevant and important
The new translation is like reading a summary of what happened in the wn from translator pov, weird and awkward.
In which chapter did the MC sleep with Qian Rongzhi? How was it? Is Qian Rongzhi a heroine or villainess?
I guess it's a side effect of him becoming a demonic cultivator / beast. They tend to be driven by their urges a lot more. Anyway, are you still reading this? How much did the translation quality drop since cvquake(?) dropped it?
