The main problem isn't only the number of death, but also from city getting quarantine, economy crisis, mass hysteria...
Frankly not much changes to the life insurance policy, because it tends to only block shits like life long illness and only shields accidents. But the company did state something offhand as a thorough investigation will be conducted to see if you had catch the virus on purpose by checking your overseas travels (if any), contacts to any known infectee as intended, any ongoing financial issues that might lead to suicide instead of accidental death. Also the company will definitely be checking if you are really hospitalised or quarantined, and only after around one month or three would they send you the money.
Meh, what you really need to worry about isn't dying (especially if you're younger than 30-35) but the economic crisis, lack of food and water that is likely to happen if it gets to the point where our countries are affected as much as China and being forced stay at home all the time.
it depends if you deliberately caught it also there are stupid people who want to infect others cause they already have it and want to bring others down by their stupidity. (ex. the one that spreads it in korea in the church.) escaping quarantine cause you don' want to be quarantined? then try to infect others cause why not?
as long as you are dead you are insured, but if you come back to life you will lose your death insurance

Have had life and health insurance for a couple of years now. No changes to my insurance provider's policies, premiums or excess requirements. Death and funeral cover is incorporated into my life insurance. You can buy it separately here.
