Install Ubuntu? I kinda like that one, you can use dual OS if you want to. Just make sure your pc/laptop can support it. Also, you're on the right subforum.
like theysaid ubuntu probably best for you since it has a mixture of apple and windows interfaces so its much easier to transition to. but keep in mind the glory of ubuntu lies in it's open software and it's command line feature.
Archlinux is best Linux. Spoiler Actually, if you're not comfortable with command line, you'd probably pull your hairs out while attempting that. So, yes, Ubuntu is recommended. That said though, Ubuntu doesn't really support mainstream codecs out of the box, so you should install them yourself. If you want a Ubuntu derivative that already includes them, try Linux Mint.
If you want easy to use pick UBUNTU. If you want read made cool looks desktop. Pick manjaro lxqt dark.. I personally pick manjaro. It's branched from arch an has quite huge community base. Oh for beginners I suggest you to pick distro that have huge community base.. It will easier to troubleshoot if something goes wrong. Oh manjaro is preinstalled with steam.. yeaaah
Linux Mint is easy to use and updates regulary. Is also one of the best to use if you want to dual boot with another Os.
Second this. If your previous OS is windows, mint would give you familiarity for the layout. Though, alternatively, try elementary OS Luna if you're familiar with OS X.
He isn't one. Linux Mint is the best for newies, it even solves a few of the problems Ubuntu has since they switched to Gnome 3. Also when it comes to updates, using a Long Term Release of Mint is less complicated. Personally I love Pocket linuxes you can carry in an SD card or an usb flash drive like Puppy Linux, but that's not for everyone.
I don't know much but my brother uses Ubuntu~ well I dunno if it's good or not either I only used Windows and MAC OS all my life so far~ but I heard Ubuntu is free~ so at least there's one perk~
yes~ it's the right subforum~ just that... this is the wrong site you see~ there're trolls everywhere around these parts~ Ah! this too~ Kali Linux right?
