Looking for a novel with people with cool powers

    Hi everyone,

    I am looking for suggestions about novels with people with cool powers, kinda like the Douluo Dalu series and Skyfire Avenue. Cool beasts if possible too.

    I am NOT looking for a simple ones like Martial God Asura, where all they do is throwing palms and saying "This battle took attacks of all types!" and not describing anything, or "And then he threw a level 8 attack. It wasn't as strong a level 9 attack, but it was still a level 8 attack!!!111!1!"

    I am pretty new to webnovels, I have read Douluo Dalu 1, 2 and 3 (up to where they are translated by BlueSilverTranslations, CookiePasta and RadiantTranslations respectively), Skyfire Avenue and Martial God Asura.

    Go onto Wuxia world and give that a gander. its got a bunch of novels that are worth checking out. my main rec would be Coiling Dragon which has now finished. from there read Stellar Transformation as its written by the same author and takes place in the same universe. good story, decent feels, life progression. have fun!

    Battle Through the Heavens - martial skill based battles, especially at the start, and it gets interesting when he starts collecting different kinds of flame (which have their own characteristics) and incorporates them in his fights

    Coiling Dragon & Desolate Era - both IET novels. They're similar in that both MCs will eventually rely on their comprehension of natural world rules to form the basis of their fight skills. I'd especially recommend Desolate Era (tho CD is already finished in translation, so that's a + in its favor)

    I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say both have pretty cool powers. The MC of King Shura especially so with his use of formations.
    From what I remember neither use concepts like level xx attack beating level xxx attack.
    WoC does have items/weapons/medicines/etc that are leveled though.

    Try ISSTH, the fights are... unique. For example, in other novels, a cool attack would be a dragon shaped energy coming out of a fist or a sword, but in ISSTH, a group of dudes gather their energy to summon a lake; out of the lake a fish jumped which transformed into a dragon!
