a novel with a side activity as a main theme side activity like alchemist in BTTH or radiant saint in csg or desolate heaven master like tmw i have read The Alchemist God but it still focuses more on fights that his skills in alchemy till last translated chapter fights are okay but the main focus should still be the skills in the side job please dont rec novels like the saints healing magic is degraded version of mine because it dosent have a single thing about the job but just comedy comedy is fine as long as the job has power levels like normal xanxia novel mainly looking for cn novels but jp and kr should be fine if good

I don't really have any novel in mind where the main focus is the side activity apart for slice of life novels or novels that have no combat/fights themes like Only Sense Online or Parallel World Pharmacy... And except for those with gaming elements (like OSO), there's no real "level up" in the side activity per se. Like in TAG, there are other novels where side activities seem to play important roles, almost at the same level as combat prowess. If you can't find anything with your exact requirements, you can try those. For example: In True Martial World, the MC is about to indulge in learning a valued technique to refine magical beasts into something akin to pills. It hasn't been the focus of the story so far but considering the importance of people who master that technique in TMW, it's most likely to take an important role in the MC's growth in the future. He's just about to start learning in the current chapters though. In The Demonic King chases his Wife, the MC has a talent for Alchemy and it looks like it's going to play a role as important as her own cultivation. As far as the current translated chapters are concerned, it looks like she's about to start working on her Alchemy too. This story's progression is quite slow though (and the main subplot seems to be romance, not alchemy). ISSTH' book 3 was pretty interesting as far as Alchemy was concerned. Heavenly Jewel Change's MC has an extremely valued side activity and it looks like he's going to level that "job" along with his strength. It's not the main focus but you can expect to have it highlighted regularly as the story goes. You might also want to try Magic Chef of Ice and Fire if you like cooking.
