Request Looking for some good JP novels.

I've been reading a lot of CN novels lately and I'm a bit tired of them. I decided to try sth different, like JP novels for example (web novels are also ok). I almost finished Magika no Kenshi to Shoukan Maou and I like it a lot, so anything similar would be appreciated. I haven't read any iseaki in a while, but I can't find anything decent anymore. I'm fine with harem, loli and all that (no NTR tho, luckily I don't see it often in jp novels). I prefer when MC is proactive, but I don't really hate the whole "dense guy" thing. So yeah, I hope you guys will help me out, many thanks in advance.

It’s a masterful piece of work.

 

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about this one. May give it a try, the only problem is that translation stopped at volume 22 and I'm not sure how long it will take for J-Novel Club to catch up. Good recommendation nonetheless, thanks.

Akuyaku Reijou wa Danna-sama wo Yasesasetai - Has very good characters that behave their age, learn from their mistakes and how absurd, they enact whatever they learnt from those mistakes. A good novel uptil where I read it.

1. Overlord (It's already being adapted into anime. It has a villain MC. You will see the pov of the villain, and not the hero. But the funny part is, even thou he is being called the villain, scammer, and mastermind, some of these are actually a misunderstanding, and deep down, he is screaming inside )
2. My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending (MC transmigrate into a novel. He become the last boss in the novel. It's full of misunderstanding, and because MC can't ooc, he looks like a tsundere. A foul mouth with kind heart . But deep down, he just want to live quietly )
3. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatte Iru (It has an anime version. I love how MC potray the society, and I love how sarcastic he is )
4. Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (It has anime version. MC transport to another world randomly. he is weak, and doesnt has over power cheat. His only power is to go back to the moment before he died. Like a save point in the game that you often meet. Sometimes it is funny, sometimes it can get really heartbreaking and crazy. In my opinion, this novel is really good)
5. Is it Tough Being a Friend? (MC is someone whose goal in life is to be the supporting character of protagonist. He found his dream like protagonist with a power and mission. A hero he want to support. I wont give you spoiler, but there are twist here and there. A funny, interesting, and full of misunderstanding story)
6. To Be a Power in the Shadows! (One of the best misunderstanding genre in JN. MC is a chuuni. He transport to another world. Imagine a chuuni in another world . He end up become a mastermind and the leader of a powerfull secret organization. And he didnt even realise that! . He thougts his subordinate and his sister is a chuuni too . Super hilarious storyline, full of misunderstanding, and crazy chuuni MC)
7. Evil-like Duke Household (People said the duke household is full of scammer and evil person, but it is actually a misunderstanding )
   
8. If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord (It is slice of life that will turn into romance. If you like a cute, and age gap couple, than you should try this. Dont worry, he is not a lolicon)
   
9. Master’s Smile (This is the story about the darkness guild member and their master)

That's all the JN with male main character. If you dont mind female MC, than you should also try this:

Thanks a lot. About "My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending", are you sure that he becomes the last boss in the novel? I am almost half way through the novel and it doesn't seem so as of yet (at least I didn't notice). I kind of hoped he would join the hero's party, I am sure all their interactions would be amusing.

 

In the original novel that mc read, he supposed to be the last boss. But when he transmigrate, he end up making the protagonist admire him, and making the heroine fall in love with him, so i doubt that the ending of the original novel will happend, but author love to create misunderstanding, so we can expect something more creative, funny, and full of misunderstanding for the future plot of this novel

 

That is one of the interesting novel too!
