I will have to sadden you, as I dislike Gintama with a passion, just like I dislike most of the shows that focus on parodying other shows/novels/mangas.

The MC realizes that the civilisation building game he was playing was real. Taking his place as the supreme commander, the rest I dount know haven't read further.

I recommend Doomsday Wonderland. Female protag no love interest, crusin through doomsday like a champ.

 

You should read the Legend of Sun Knight. It is really hilarious comedy with deep plot. It is already completed so no need to wait updates.

 

Yesh, you have read that well! I usually am more patient with novels and don't mind the wait, but from time to time I still go and read the raws when I am particularly interested or have nothing better to read at the given moment!
And I'm always greedy for more! I will be checking the recommendations from this thread for a while, having more doesn't hurt, and would be even greatly appreciated!~

Wasn't it the one where the Sun Knight actually hated his job? I think I read the manhua of it a longer while ago

 

Yup that is the one. All those characters that have to fit in their role even though they dont really fit, provides so many hilarious situations.

Also if you really want to read unique novel read Pure Love x Insult Complex. It is erotic novel with deep touch into human psychology. I have never seen anything like it and even though it starts like normal porn novel it quickly turns into deep novel about criminal organisations and emotional traumas. It still has lots of sex afterwards.

If you are not picky reader and can stand reading non asian novel then you should read Worm. One of the best superhero stories with a twist.

Also if you get past about...30 chapter in Arifureta, it starts being really good again...especially the aftestories

and how bout reading Dungeon Defense volume 4, it's quite interesting and definitely need time to digest.
btw Wortenia Senki give a bit different vibes compared with Summoned Slaughterer and Sovereign of Judgement

I read Arifureta till the end of Japtem translations and a few chapters more, but couldn't bear the story from there on.
Focus was almost completely on the girls by then, and the harem felt pretty generic and cardboardish at that point.
I don't plan on returning to that torture~
Will see about The girl who ate Death God though, thankyu~

Huh, I didn't even remember having it in my reading list, must have added it a long time ago and forgot xD

Also, I dropped Dungeon Defense due to it's increasing chuuniness. >.<
The whole story seemed way too theatric by then too, with focus mostly on performance and the supposed "intelligence" of the characters *cringe overload*. The fact that aside from the few important characters everybody else consisted of a mindless mob didn't exactly make me want to keep reading.
