Immortality, I had a lot of problems trusting other people that much. Though there are some exceptions but that's that. Plus never in my life I would have a girlfriend or something like that.

Unless you're planning on living in seclusion in a mountain. Sooner or later someone gonna notice. If you exist, there will be a trace of it. Unless the humans are completely wiped out therr will always be someone attracted to the secret of not aging. Besides you don't just gives time to heal a broken mind or a mental illness. Even more so when you are alone. The human body doesn't work that way. And the immortal body only prevent you from dying of anything fatal.

Simple, love. Sure...I'll live forever, but after that, I'll be bored. I would've done everything, and anyone I knew would be dead. I'd be a lifeless husk. I'd rather love someone and live a fulfilling life being a mortal. So in conclusion, I'd rather be happy for a lifetime rather then live forever with endless regret.

There is a really good movie on that, called "The Man From Earth". It discusses the human mind if the body was immortal.
It's about a man who was born during the Pleistocene and survived into modern days.

This is an interesting question. I used to want immortality. But actually that could be more than a sacrifice than anyone realizes because we don't know what happens at death. I'd prefer a really long life of a few centuries.

So i'd rather choose immortality as long as I can kill myself in about 1000 years.

Immortality for sure. Love is just a bunch of hormones and chemical reactions in the brain.
However if immortality is the type where you can't die no matter what and freakin entropy occurs in the universe and you're unable to die floating forever in empty space, I'd pick neither.

    Love for some reasons:
    • In my view, immortality means forever, meaning:
      • when the world's climate changes to be unsustainable for human life, you'll still be there.
      • When humanity becomes extinct, you'll still be there.
      • If you were cut into pieces, you would still be alive but no longer whole and would probably be in excruciating pain.
      • There would also be the possibility of getting caught by scientist who want to do human experimentation - you would be the perfect guinea pig.
      • All of your family members would die and, because you'll never have a lover you probably won't have the opportunity to procreate.
    • Humans cannot maintain a stable mind without love of any form, to abandon this means you would be abandoning your humanity.
    • I wouldn't want to become a murderer for selfish gains.(I wouldn't want to become a murderer full stop.)
    Sorry for the long answer.
