Actually, RH is not as hell-bent on YY as you'd think. Like I said, he's a bit confused. His real affection is for XM and it happens relatively quickly, but he grew up with YY and never developed a tolerance against YY. So when YY starts manipulating, he can't help but fall for it. It still doesn't excuse his asshole behavior though. I'm looking forward to the groveling too.
Okay, so that was not the break-off climax. RH tries to get his head on straight. He pretty much goes on vacation with XM after that and tries to live quietly with him a bit, just the two of them. He even gets the villagers to help him out in enacting a wedding with him and XM. That part was sweet. ...then freaking YY sends a messenger saying that YY is about to die. WTF is this timing.
I HATE THIS SLAG OMG. NEVER HAVE I WANTED TO PUNCH THROUGH MY LAPTOP SCREEN AND SPACE-TIME THIS MUCH. !@&#^*$&#^*&%^(#%!!! Slag YY purposefully started practicing the same martial arts/whatever technique that XM's dad used. It can extend life but requires someone to act as medicinal blood bank. So he basically forced XM into being his blood bank. Edit: Can't call RH slag anymore because YY's a bigger slag than him. YY's the one doing the forcing btw, RH is just guilty as hell because he knows XM is doing this for him.
IT GETS WORSE. Apparently mpreg exists in this world (which explains why no one's against the homo). XM was 3 months pregnant unbeknownst to them all, and saving YY killed the unborn child. 凸ಠ益ಠ)凸 to YY. Seriously. He seems to have plotted for this too.
YY might actually be royalty and have super spies. I think. Pretty sure RH is a general. But I mean 'seems to have plotted' as in he seemed pleased at the miscarriage.
Praise be to RH's staff, all of whom are more clear-headed than him. 4 of his elite shadow guards even wanted to charge in and assassinate YY right away. And yes, now it's confirmed that YY planned for the miscarriage. The guards mentioned it.
Okay, so this part is full of drama but does at least somewhat redeem RH. RH REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to kill YY. But he can't, because of the promise he made to his dead brother. He breaks things off 100% with YY and leaves instead. Later, RH finds out from the doctor about the date-rape drug (actually it's some kind of flower, I'll call it flower from now on). He's horrified at the thought that XM's love for him could be false. But he knows he's done too much wrong to XM to be an ostrich, so he tells the doctor to go ahead and give XM the cure. It takes effect after they have a sweet day alone and RH shares with XM a pair of couple bracelets left to him by his mother. The fully conscious XM... absolutely cannot believe he liked this slag. And coughs up blood. Poor RH knows what's going on but can't do anything about it. Plus XM keeps coughing up blood every time he sees him, so treatment takes a long time and RH can barely see XM as XM heals and stays awake longer.
Ah yes!!! Go XM! Can't believe you liked that slag either but we can blame it on the drug!!! Now grovel lots RH!!

That is one fucking scary drug. I mean it essentially forces you to fall with your rapist. Also to contiguously love him/her after they have wronged you so badly - over and over. I never once thought that love potion was scary from Harry Potter was terrifying until this very moment.
Yup, RH knows. Words from the guards plus confronting YY let him figure it out. That's part of why he wants to kill YY so badly. XM can somewhat forgive RH (he knows RH was manipulated round and round), but doesn't want to stay. The servants try to speak up on their master's behalf, but follow XM's orders since they all like him and know he's the party with the most just cause to do as he wants. Before leaving, XM has conversation with RH. He expresses his intent to leave and break things off, and return the bracelet to RH. RH goes a little nuts, but later comes to his senses. He lets XM visit his brother. XM thinks his dad's death was fishy and wants to investigate now his mind's clear.
That's true its best to find out how your love one had died, and he can also get some justice on top of that.
