Except if I didn't read completely... but even healed, he probably won't be useful, he doesn't have enough mana to make him disappear another arm, only 1/4 of an arm and then... he won't be able to do nothing... >.>

Maybe with his bow, he could aim at the weasel's eyes ?

 

{{ Out of these perhaps the greatest transgressions are the first two (shields and character limit). Something similar happened with the new X-COM games, which is why I hate them with a passion. If it's a shooting game, then shoot, and if it's a wargame, wage war, what's with those numbers? Those are rookie numbers! Frankly one of the things that impressed me was the size of the roster you can keep, starting from the first mission in the army (I wonder if you can set the difficulty, btw? Haven't looked for the option, but the only time I ever replayed a mission was because I wanted higher rank for it).

Anyway, great game. I plan on delightfully finishing it, as soon as I can. }}

((Yeah, the shield was the thing I hated the most tbh, especially on bosses that used shields, but had a sidearm that they shot when you moved and used to counter your shoots.

Like... For real!? Why can't I have an OP sidearm that kills anyone in a few shots!? >.<

I made sure to play the game without using a single shield unit tbh, I simply hated the mechanic altogether.


The small numbers was really annoying too, especially because the numbers felt more necessary on VC2 than they were on VC1 tbh. It was really really constraining.

Ah, I heard of the changes on X-COM... Honestly, X-COM 2 and X-COM Enemy Unknown just felt so so lacking when compared to UFO Defense... I didn't play any of them yet tbh, but my brother did, and he explained a lot of the game to me... UFO Defense just felt tons of times better.


Regarding difficulty, you can set it on skirmishes (I do recommend playing the skirmishes on hard once you finish the story btw, they are really nice missions! Took a lot of work to get A on them all! \(^^)/), but not on the story... Though there is the Hard EX mode on the PC version, I don't know how it works because it was a DLC on PS3.

OoC: I just figured out another way to attack it. You said that you are weakened after the healing, however what if some other shadow creature helped you?

I mean, he looks like a human, completely human, there is nothing that tells he is half-shadow, and he firmly believes that he is human..
...even if it helps him, a "Shadow" is still considered as a monster.
