So, I've been thinking about something @Evil_Ginger said. About how it is sad for us not to use merit shop so much. My idea was, though I guess it cannot be implemented here, to change our powers from having an internal foundation to external. What I mean by that is that now we use mana like a talent. Naturally absorb it into our bodies and use it. What if we could not use it that way and required external objects to do it?
Example: A mage has a grimoire with a limited amount of pages. These pages are used to store spell chants. You can inscribe new spells or add new pages only by using merit points. To cast a spell, however, you also need a certain number of magic stones.
Because of their vast usage, the magic stones also became a currency of some sort.

you can enchant weapons and armor to have special properties. needs magic stones filled with souls, though we can use mana. once the power in the item runs out, charge it back up with another magic stone.

 

so we are playing medieval gundam now? jk the thing is such a way to constrict and maintain the economy feels uh artificial....again ask @Way coz he is the one who has developed most of this game after utopia

i just want cheap items for sale since Garl is too stupid to make them himself and i feel like him getting the items randomly during a quest is dumb.

 

this is actually such a brilliant idea now that i think about it, my next character in whichever rp i make the char in is gonna be this unless i get a better idea

Anyone interested in a certain RP where you get to travel to infinite dimensions (or at least as many as the amount of people willing to contribute), meet people from all walks of the multiverse and participate in interdimensional shenanigans?
