No thanks. ... I started reading The First Order the other day. Nice novel. Bit of a rocky start, but it quickly develops into a fairly enthralling story that felt sort of similar to Lord of the Mysteries. I recommend it if you like LotM. ... Anyway, there's some kind of trailer for it to promote the novel or something, idk, and boy does it suck. The production value is fine, and all, but they blatantly changed parts of the story - as you might expect from an adaptation - so it'd be cooler in the video, and, well, it's just not. They ruined an amazing moment in the story. Just. Ruined. So.. y'know.. I don't trust 'em with LotM. Ofc I guess if a decent company gets their hands on it, it might turn out better. But, yeah.
Was this popular in China? I don't recall it being. It'd be hella cool to have this adapted to a drama or anime, I just don't think it would though. Basically no one adapts CN webnovels/manhua. Well, actually, I've seen plenty of CN manhua/webnovels being adapted, it's just all romance though.
LotM to Anime TV series maybe.. adapting it on live action would be costly with all of those fantasy elements
