WTF is wrong with the translator ?

 

It's not the translator, not the original one at least.

Qidian took MAM off of their hands after a string of bad translation reviews. They allegedly gave the novel to another group, but still published the original grup's backlog, burning through 100+ chapters at a pace of 2 chapters a day. So the ball is on Qidian's court.

Do try not to bash the former translator for something that is clearly not their fault. In fact, you shouldn't be bashing translators at all, but whatever. *throws hands up*

The synopsis here intrigues me. But there hasn’t been a new chapter in a month for some reason.

 

the novel's really great, and different from any other CN i've read before...i'd really recommend it if the releases were handled a bit better

I think it's worth reading even if the releases have stopped. It's much better than 99% webnovels out there and we're at a reasonable stopping point. We got to read to the end of a major arc, maybe even the natural end of the first half of the story.

You won't recommend it because you're annoyed that we're stuck, but if you take a bit of distance, MAM is definitely worth reading.

As a matter of fact, I plan to reread this at some time next month, and it hasn't been even half a year since my first binge. It's that good.

I added it to my library just now. I’ll let you know my impressions after I read a bit. The plot synopsis sounds right up my alley. Hopefully the translator issues will be sorted out eventually.

 

As a followup, I started reading and love it! The friendship, budding romance and action are well balanced. I’m a paying member of the QI site and adding my voting stones to it every day from now on. It can’t hurt.

 

Actually,synopsis was kinda intriguing so I started to read. But the first chapter kinda put me on hold,for like 3 months. I forced myself through it(only thanks to Casanova) as MC was too much of a ... how do I say,weak in every way. But eventually I fell in love with this novel,except occasional unbearable TL-ion everything's great. I'm currently at 192 it's cute

 

I’m earlier than you. At around chapter 70. I already like the novel as its different than the arrogant young master stuff out there. Hopefully voting 3 stones a day will make a slight difference in them getting the translation going.

 

Something we could try is lobbying Qidian into giving the translation back to the original translator. On the last chapter's comments, they said they were willing to take it back...

 

The protagonist is weak at the start, but his mentality slowly changes over the course of the novel. He's not a cardboard cliché character. It's something the writer did really well, better than in Throne. This is the sort of novel impatient readers would drop, while it's stealthily in contention for being one of the best written novels on here. The romance, character development and fighting scenes are top-notch. I don't think it's perfect, but it's consistently great and comes close. I wish I could read it in Chinese.

Unfortunately a lot of instant gratification readers come in with wrong expectations, people generally don't seem patient with stories here. Ironic, given that webnovels are paced faster than most paper books already.

For me personally, this novel reminds me of my first relationship.

I'd take the translators back any day of the week. Even with frequent errors (e.g. switching up names) and janky sentences at times, it was still noticeably better than machine translation. Not what I'd like for such a great novel, but better than radio silence.

 

I keep putting in power stones, hoping this will be picked up again but it seems futile. It is such a nice novel.

A new chapter appeared on QI earlier ... And it disappeared again ...

 

Ah, I must of missed it. I hope it was picked up again and it’s just a technical issue.

 

CKTalon says MAM is being worked on. That would be good news if true. I hope I'll live to see the day.
