I bet Lin Ming after he saw this Ruling Spirit Art once, will ponder into it, and somehow able to use it to certain degree.. what an OP buddy!
Sure eating more than you can handle is a waste but I doubt the only benefit to eating god beast meat is to improve your cultivation level. The keel soup back in the 7 valleys territory also strengthened meridians for example. Meat can be and often is cooked with herbs. So it having toxins from herbs in it is possible. Regardless I was more referring to the impure energy and such that comes in herbs and presumably meat. I assume you know that though. They do. There's nothing incorrect about using he or she for non human things. People certainly refer to their pets as such. In fact even when talking about non human things in stories you'd usually only find authors calling intelligent beings 'it' if they have no gender in the first place. This is from TMW Spoiler Below the Great Dao of Origins, there were second-ranked Great Dao. They were named Great Dao of Supremacy. The so-called Supremacy was Supremacy below Origins. For example, Space-Time Dao, Yin-Yang Taiji Dao, Life-Death Dao, Immortality Dao. The Great Dao of Supremacy were also extremely difficult. But compared to the Great Dao of Origins, they were slightly easier. There were also many more known cultivation technique manuals for them.
The pronoun isn't just a matter of intelligence in English, it's gender. How are we supposed to know if an artifact spirit has a gender? Does it identify as a he or a she? Thus it can only be referred to with it.
Easy - appearance. You see boyish girl outside who can easy be girlish guy (it happens), would you call him or her "it"? Even if they truly don't have gender, still use "he" or "she". "It" we call things, and we call humans "it" when we want to harass them, de-humanize them. And as I said, in my language even non-living things have gender pronouns so it's not like you will go against all traditions in human languages. Also, does Chinese have gender pronouns? I really don't know much about Chinese. Maybe author has plans for the third part? After all, he is writing TMW right now and he needs to end it. LM has one divine object, YY another, and we know about the third so...
they do 他,她,它, all pronounced tā and they all mean it/she/he 他 is for male it, also used if you don't know what gender a person is, and if you have a group of people 她 is for female 它 is for objects and animals
Oh, and what are they using in novels for non-human persons? Like artifact spirit, intelligent beasts and so on?
它, for saint beast and artifact spirits(the one where he got the spear from and the seal), didn't check to see if it was for anything else. if you want to just go to lnmtl and click on when it refers to such things.
It sounds complex.. as expected of Chinese. I wonder what gender LM's spear would be if it keep being upgraded.
So can someone spoil me how the top 10 are gonna go... Someone sayed it in a Spoiler tag but i went like 15 pages back cant find it tnx Spoiler: Put it like this so people dont get spoiled Of i remember 1 is the Dream girl and 2 LM 3 Dragon Fang and 4 Xia whatever want to know about others cause theres a lot of strong people rn....
Suddenly LM meets his fellow brothers and sisters protagonists. I mean, if you don't think that youth with rusty blade and ordinary girl soul inside bunny is not a protagonist of Chinese xianxia, then I don't even know.
Spoiler buddhist Guy is number three because Lin Ming fell unconscious from the divine seal inheritance
