You make it sound easily, but building a Brand for decades and maintaining it is two totally different story. As it is rare for a studio to be capable of producing quality on a consistent basis even if they are not at their best, they at least aren't bad. So for a decade old Studio to become one of the most profitable and favored franchise in the movie industry is a rarity that only Marvel has maintain over the span of decade without the reliance on nostalgia. Then to completely increase their profitability from just the billions to the two billions in their latest Avenger series without any reliance on nostalgia like Jurassic Park or Star Wars it means they haven't gone stale or decline instead they have endear themselves to the public even more than before. So to say their movie aren't as good is a questionable opinion that could be interpreted as fact when it is possibly not true.

 

So basically, because they make more money that makes the movies better? Alright then. Mobile games make a shit ton of money but if you compare them to actual full-length content games are they better? Most would agree that that's a solid no. Case and point: Look at the new Diablo immortal game that just got announced. It's gonna make bank but holy hell is hated, for various reasons but it still comes down to the fact it's not as good if it was on pc. Again, it's gonna make them billions but it's a shitty game if you compare it to the others they have made.

The reason Marvel even does well is because they have a literal library of untold stories to use and millions of fans already. The ONLY thing they have to do is not ruin the movies and it's an easy paycheck. Someone with half a brain could make it succeed. It's nothing worth praising as the most profitable and favored franchise in the industry.

 

Oh, but it is if you have a half a brain because while games and movies fall into the category of entertainment. The way they entertain is vastly different and so have different method to attain their money. Games are usually payed upfront and has most of the content with only extra one need to buy or download and with mobile games only the small number of whales spend the most money with some Causal forking over the cash. However, for a Marvel movie to reach two billion is something near unachievable for most movie produce without the following requirement to be met as unlike a game you the viewer has no way of interacting within like a game. As the movie content not only need to satisfy the consumer with only visuals and storytelling, it need to also wow them enough to get their ass off the Netflix or subscription couch to go to the movie theater and pay to watch the movie multiple time. If a movie was only okay or just good as usual than it simply wouldn't be possible for it to reach the two billion mark. As only three other movie has reach pass two billion in the span of nearly two decades. Even if the fans Marvel has built up over the last decades it simply would not be possible for millions of fan to watch it enough time to push it pass the two billion mark by just barely. Instead they need multiple watcher from both first time viewer, usual single viewer, and fan viewers of all gender and age group as a four quadrant movie for everyone.

So yes it's money does tell a lot of how much a movie is consider good if they made it pass a milestone that others can't as even a Game can't reach pass a number of units sold without it being very well liked.
