Discussion MC's tutor/master that actually "teaches"

So yeah is there any Xianxia/Wuxia where the MC's teacher/master actually teaches the MC stuff and not just be a glorified living gym and supplement store that has fitness magazines lying in a corner for the mc to use? Like come on, the masters/teachers/tutors I see the MCs get is just some old dude that gives the MC a place to train to(AKA the Gym) and leaves him/her there for "insert time skip". And sometimes gives him some medicine pills or whatever treasure needed for cultivation(AKA creatine and protein powders) and the master comes to check up on the mc and tells him some quick tips (your form is bad, do full reps lol) and bring some books to read that have skills and techniques in it(AKA fitness magazines).

Bottom line is, is there actually a master/teacher that really genuinely teaches his/her student and not just dump him in some place for an extended period of time while occasionally visiting to say a few sentences at most.

Are you asking for adding somethings in cultivation.I mean although it seems mysterious,for people who have read tens of Xianxia novels understand almost a part of it.Expect giving them techniques,helping them correct their techniques and give them medicines what the heck can they do more ?

 

spoon fed is not good for cultivator.

 

If you don't mind manga. I might recommend "histories strongest disciple kenichi".
Japanese rather then Chinese but the entire story revolves around being a disciple of martial arts.

 

Desolate Era.
The MC is like Goku... He is a genius when it comes to fighting, learns everything he needs from a teacher in the blink of an eye and then gets another but all of them have took their time to teach him something (his father, his mother, an inmortal and others) xD

I think a xianxia/wuxia with something called Shrek academy in it.

I might be wrong but isnt it part of their culture? like a master only guides but the disciple has to find his own path himself and train himself which is why a teacher cant help him. The teacher might pass down some techniques or arts for the disciple, speaks some profound philosophy and thats it.

 

There a martial arts manga called kenji.

Where the premise is grandfather teaches grandson martial arts. Grandfather disappears after a set amount of years.

Grandson becomes worried and trys to track down grandfather while meeting all of his grandfathers friends who then teach him the history and stories of their martial arts while teaching him techniques and forms.

It is modern dayish. Very interesting story.
