Does anyone know any stories like Legend of the Great Saint, where the protagonist is able to transform into some sort of monster to receive a power boost. Maybe it is their true form, maybe it is the result of a demon bloodline, or maybe the result of a cultivation technique. Don't recommend stories where the protagonist starts out as a monster, but then learns how to turn into a human, and just remains in a human form 90% or even 100% of the time. P.S Don't suggest anything that is locked by behind a paywall.
The dragon form is more like a power boost that just so happens to alter his appearance. It isn't his true form, and he even disregards it after he becomes a saint. At least I'm assuming he does cause the author never seems to mention whether or not he's using it.
Well if he does use it I don't really remember it so it mustn't have been treated as a big deal. I'm guessing it want from being a secret ultimate weapon, to a baselines ability so as readers we were just excepted to assume he was using it whenever he was in a fight.
Dragon-Marked War God (Dragon Transformation) Monster Paradise (He can transform into monster he own) Wu Dong Qian Kun (He later learned Dragon Transformation technique) Swallowed Star (He can turn into dragon) Super Gene/Super God Gene (They can turn into monster using beast soul) Tales of Demons and Gods (The cultivation technique require them to integrate with demon soul and the mc can integrate with many demon soul, and they can transform into the demon soul)
Way of the Devil. Mc practices many body techniques which combine and he literally becomes hulk like monster.
Thanks I'm not sure if these are really what I'm looking for but they look like good reads nonetheless.
Someone suggested that earlier, I was sort of intrigued but now I'm interested. You don't often see transformations that ruin the protagonist appearance. They always have to remain as perfect jade beauties, so the hulk monster should be a fun read.
At first he turns into a hulk-like monster, and all of the other body practitioners admired him and saw him as the pinicle of body strengthening, but rather was at the very beginning and he goes far beyond that. Comparing MC from Way of the Devil to MC from Legend of the Great Sage is like comparing Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean to Cuthulu
If you enjoy these genre then you can also try this authors other works. I heard they also have mc that transform themselves while fighting.
