I'm in the mood for some rage against the world scenes. Any medium of entertainment is acceptable. The only requirement is that the character has to die in battle, preferably in an epic action sequence.
    Ex:
Anime: Whitebeard's death in One Piece
Kamina, Kittan, and many others in Gurren Lagann
    Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop
Novel: Druss's death in Legend at Dros Delnoch

The final brigade's presumed last desperate battle in Reincarnator

Pssst, you might want to put your example in spoiler tags.

Yes to all three. The first should be rather obvious though, since I actually used it as an example.
Other than the first one, neither really fits what's I was looking for.
Didn't really feel the need to considering the fact that all of the examples bar one are close to a decade old or more.
The other example is so widely known it's absurd to bother.

Why would I spoiler something that's the equivalent to saying Darth Vader is Luke's father, or that Dumbledore dies in Harry Potter?

Either the people who know about the series already know these obvious facts and they can use the example as intended; or they're at a point where they will never bother reading/watching the thing in question, at which point it doesn't matter anyways.

How about trying Fate Zero? or you could also watch sasuke vs Itachi and Jiraiya vs Pain in Naruto Another would be White Beard vs Black Beards. Don't know if that fits your criteria though.
